I can't wait to play this game!

killswitch802142d ago

Plus its built on UE4 so mod support will be heavy. So expect it to look even better and have long term fan updates.

IRetrouk2142d ago

Really looking forward to this, day 1

Eidolon2141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

Wow I overlooked this as for some reason I was expecting an exploratory narrative game, I don't know why. This is looking really fun. Giving me Prey/Fallout vibes. Prey is one of my favorite games this gen.

IRetrouk2141d ago

Knew I wanted it as soon as they announced it lol, defo fallout vibes, not tried prey yet, I assume it's good?

This game is sorely lacking in background music.

If this game does well on Playstation and theres a sequel, do you think MS puts it on PS system again? I'm trying to gauge the community because I say MS does keep it multiplat. What say you?

No Way2142d ago

If it does well on Playstation, dont you think thats more incentive to make the sequel exclusive? That means those Playstation owners would have to buy the next xBox to play the game.

Anomander2142d ago

Or just play it on on PC. MS is not tying their games just to consoles, but to the MS ecosystems.

mkis0072141d ago

Not even, you would just need an xcloud device.

They've done it with Minecraft. Think it all depends on how well it sells and how big of a fanbase it brings in. People just think they're buying up these studios for exclusives but Microsoft has already gone multiplatform with many games

Livingthedream2141d ago

But Minecraft is a different type of monster and already had an established fanbase, I don't believe this game will sell anything close to what minecraft is selling.

Obscure_Observer2142d ago (Edited 2142d ago )

@BizarroUltraman

Not gonna happen. Microsoft will honor all multiplatform contracts signed before those studios acquisitions, just like Minecraft and We Happy Few. Same case will be with The Outer Worlds and Wastland 3.

Now, the real reason behind all those studios acquisitions/creation is to mimic Netflix success by creating a "Netflix of Games". To achieve that goal, EXCLUSIVE content is critical!

Or it could just be the same as outer worlds 1. No changes just direct sequel.

Both are going to underperform.
