Sony is backing plenty of PlayStation 4 games that are made in China

That's that Sony console strategy: preparing for the future. Not Just for regular games But VR as well. Genshin Impact actually looks pretty good.

Also hope they develop an even closer relationship with the Japanese developer Cygames. Project Awakening for PlayStation alone makes it worth keeping an eye on them too.

More up and coming developers for PlayStation is just a positive thing in keeping that variety we know Sony for.

I'm glad to see Sony showing its support towards chinese devs, and I was pleasantly surprised with yesterday's chinajoy. I was kinda skeptical on Monkey King until I was pleasantly surprised by its new Dragonball-styled trailer. However, according to the article, the recent demo had some missteps but that's because the demo was from ACGHK so no doubt they're saving the best for the last.

And while we did get some weaker titles during these recent years like Walker, Gene Rain, Don't Even Think and Weeping Doll, this ChinaJoy conference convinced me that chinese developers are close to reach their potential. Games like Metal Revolution, Genshi Impact, Anno, F.I.S.T. , Lost Soul Aside, Oriental Exorcist and others were really impressive, and while some like Apocalypse and Evotinction looked like they need some time to polish, there is still a good base to be found in these titles, and I applaud for these devs.

Although, I really do hope Sony can also show more support for other asian countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and others as well, including non-asian ones. My only disappointment was that there wasn't single chinese VR game announced on either China Hero Project or ChinaJoy.
