wow, for anyone who hasn't tried Alan Wake I would strongly recommend it. One of my favorite games from the 360 days.

Blu3_Berry1718d ago

I found Alan Wake so mindbogglingly boring.

I'm a huge horror / suspense fan. Playing this game reminded me of a twilight zone episode. I loved how they structured each chapter as if you were watching a TV show and they would do a mini recap of the previous chapter at the start of the next. The Stephen King like writing and the infusion of the real life TV show mixed in. All made for one heck of a story. But that's my personal opinion. If it wasn't your cup of tea then that's fine too.

Normally I would agree but not from EGS.

meh, just another front end in the sea of front ends we have for every other title out there. Steam, Windows, Epic, Origin, Battle.net, Uplay, Bethesda, etc.

Free on Steam yes, free on Epic store No

Your loss for being a petty fan boy, of a store front of all things.

Sounds like you are a misinformed consumer that loves Epics bad practices.

@KyRo

“petty fan boy” ? Really? Really!? You know what I don’t get is how all y’all Epic Games Store supporters clearly fail to see the anti-consumerism that Epic is practicing.

Does Steam pay for exclusive rights/early releases on their platform? Prohibiting CONSUMERS from buying the game on their preferred platform? When Epic didn’t publish or develop the games?

Sure I get that the developers should get more money and it’s nice for the consumer to spend less per game while the publishers get more money. It just stinks of bad business and the fact that gamers (some of the smartest people IMO) are completely blind to what they are supporting.

I bet if Steam allowed publishers to charge more for their games on Steam and started purchasing exclusive rights forthe latest AAA games coming to the PC crowd all these Epic supporters would freak out.

What's the harm in exploiting free games out of a service you otherwise don't bother with? You're not giving them any money.

Epic are really throwing their weight around. Dishing out free games each week with no subscription requirement. Oh well happy days, I don't mind.

Although I did just buy Alan Wake on Steam 2 weeks ago ha

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Wow, this game is still going! Have not played it yet but wondering if it's worth jumping into

INMATEofARKHAM80d ago

I played it when it first came out and it's pretty solid though I did moved on from the MP fairly quick... I did enjoy the campaign and I see the game on sale for a few dollars so I do recommend picking it up on sale.

Garethvk80d ago

It has plenty of action and updates.

Garethvk80d ago

They have had many good updates along the way. There was a great one where you had to defend an attack and you could use hot oil and all kinds of things to defend.
