Wolfenstein: Youngblood Sucks! [RF Review] - AngryJoeShow

Is the sequel to New Colossus as bad as everyone says? Yes! Delrith endures and suffers through fully to give you all the info you need on Wolfenstein: Youngblood!

CP_Company2097d ago

it is not a sequel. sequel is in development and it is called Wolfenstein 3. this is a side story.

criticalkare2097d ago

I am worrying for sequel now... after playing this they gonna fill this with MT tacked on rpg mechanics and horrible semi small open world elements....

2096d ago
-Foxtrot2097d ago

Yeah a shitty side story they need to just pretend never happened

I mean BJ really liberated America then took 20 years to bother liberating Europe...urm...no

lptmg2097d ago

like a real american hero

NecrumOddBoy2097d ago

It just sucks. Some games are just duds. The Old Blood is a side-story game and one of the best Wolfenstein titles ever made

carcarias2096d ago

Yeah, I loved Old Blood and really enjoyed the Raven Software 2009 game too. In fact, I prefer Wolfenstein with more enemy variety and technological/supernatural elements so I was hoping Old Blood was a taste of what New Colossus would be.

CP

Doesn't matter it's a average game at best so why does it matter. Most if the reviews have been average so everyone is wrong

Should reviewers review a game differently because it's a dlc expansion instead of a new game?

"Zero innovation."

People are stupid as hell what they expect from sequels or continuations.

Also, I thought it was against the rules to only share a link to youtube? People have repeatedly cussed me out in the past when I tried doing it and reported and shut it down so wtf

jeromeface2097d ago

If they'd changed it and he didn't think it was improved he'd been complaining about that. I honestly hate delrith reviews.

Concertoine2097d ago

I have to wonder if people are factoring in the fact that this game is $29.99. If you do the buddy pass and split it with a friend its 20 apiece.

Maybe the game is that bad - but it certainly doesnt look that bad to me.

-Foxtrot2097d ago (Edited 2097d ago )

It's bad. It's basically everything Wolfenstein isn't and the trailers are not a representation of the game

MT's

Bullet sponge enemies

Health bars above enemies

AI is bad

Forced co-op

You can't even pause offline

It's a looter shooter but not a looter shooter

Main characters are shallow and annoying while having no development

You use things like doing the robot and thumbs up to heal and other shit

Forced in RPG system

NPC's back in the base have no personality.

The issue is after Fallout 76 what does this mean for the next Wolfenstein, Doom, Starfield or Elder Scrolls VI

Yui_Suzumiya2096d ago

I got it day 1 and I'm enjoying it. It's no New Order but it's still fun for what it is.

quent2096d ago

Coop isn't guaranteed to work, there's been alot of issues for many people trying to play it online, wish they'd stop treating couch co-op modes like hep c or something and bring the feature back into gaming

Sgt_Slaughter2097d ago

"You should only post videos if the content of the video is professionally made and of interest to the community."

Since this is a long running YouTube channel with professional editing, it falls under that category.

Having said that, I have that exact same style of video removed before so I have no idea what does and does not count at this point. I just submit and hope it goes through.

Decent AI? AI that's not worse than the prior title?

jeromeface2097d ago

Putting a game ending in your review is about the worse thing you can do. Thanks.

Sgt_Slaughter2097d ago

To be fair, it's a game review. The chance that the ending is in the review are pretty good if they've played through the whole thing.

Sgt_Slaughter2097d ago (Edited 2097d ago )

Yes there should have been a spoiler warning in his video BUT he describes his disappointment with the ending which is a lead into the segment where he shows it. That's a warning in of itself, not to mention you can pause the video instead of watching the ending scenes then complaining you got spoiled. No one forced you to keep going.

porkChop2097d ago

Generally you would show gameplay from the first half of the game, or small non-spoiler clips from later levels. You would never show the literal ending. That's unprofessional and bad practice.

Dark_Knightmare22097d ago

Lol no I mean have you ever read or watched review videos smh

rob-GP2096d ago

Whereas I agree that the reviewer should have completed the game before even starting their review (which I won't get into as I've had this discussion many times before), you shouldn't include any spoilers or major plot points within the actual review.

I've not watched this review, nor do I intend to, but if they've included hints or detailed info about the ending then they shouldn't be reviewing 'new' games. Old games, like what AVGN does, sure. Those are old games and are treated differently, but a new game is a big no-no. Would you enjoy reading a review about a film a few days after release where the reviewer has told you about all the twists and the ending? Didn't think so.

All he had to say was that he's played the game through to its final conclusion, that's all. In my review, I stated I'd played it for around 23 hours and finished the story and 60% of the side missions. I didn't have to talk about the ending to validate my statement.

*Drinks a sip from his beer, Buuurrrrpppppp*

In this case they actually showed it because they were very confident it was THAT bad.

Yui_Suzumiya2096d ago

Joe is a douche.. What you expect?

NarooN2096d ago

Joe's not the one who did this review lol

One-Shot2096d ago

Well you obviously didn't watch lol. Would've saved you looking like a fool.

lakeunn2096d ago

embarrassing comment made by a toddler.

NarooN2096d ago

@jermome

I agree. I already had no interest in the game but decided to watch this review yesterday on a lunch break and was utterly baffled that Del decided to casually show the ending in the review. Like what the the actual **** lol.

DEEHULK882097d ago

Now that everyone is reviewing it bad, I believe that sites like this will just follow the crowd and try to rate it as low as possible to get clicks.

-Foxtrot2097d ago

Maybe it's just bad

Have you seen the user Metacritic? That's when the reviews were being pretty decent so no one was influenced.

Vegamyster2097d ago

Metacritic user reviews are the last place I'd go for an opinion lol.

Yui_Suzumiya2096d ago

A majority of those users are idiots. Just as bad as people giving it 10/10.

2096d ago
rob-GP2096d ago

I don't trust the user count on Meta anymore as literally anyone can rate a game without owning it.

Judging by the number of people on Twitter and in the Steam forums who are giving opinions on the game, even though they don't own it and are posting these YT videos as their evidence on how they feel, the majority of Meta user reviews are basically viewers of these people posting their 'opinion' based on other peoples opinions, not their own.

It's a YouTube channel bruh

LemyAtom2097d ago

I am confused as to why AngryJoeShow always gets approved with a YouTube link when smaller YouTubers get their YouTube links denied on N4G? Can somebody explain this to me?

Omac_brother2097d ago

Even if the youtube link was valid, the "!" in the title would get it reported on normal posts.

Fanatical's Special Editions bundle offers even better value for money than the Steam Autumn Sale

Fanatical has launched its Special Editions bundle, and it can help you save more than the Steam Autumn Sale on a massive list of games.

TheNamelessOne143d ago

It usually does. Steam sales are often great, but Fanatical sales get insane at times.

Scheiße! Nein.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein is the best in the series. After that:
New Order
New Colossus
Old Blood

Harryvok992d ago

I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
