How is Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory not No. 1 or even on this list?

Should Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory be on the list? Yes.
Should it be ranked at #1? No.

I didn't expect to see the Last of Us though, at #1. I know it has stealth elements, but I wouldn't call it a stealth game since the stealth mechanics are very shallow. Its more a standard action game with the ability to couch-walk, which isn't enough to consider a part of the 'stealth genre'.

There's no Metal Gear Solid 2 on the list which is strange. I thought we've finally gotten over all the Raiden hate by now?

MGS3 isn't on the list. It has the greatest stealth based boss battle of all time, against The End.
MGS Peace Walker is better than a lot of the titles on the list as well. Chaos Theory would have been better had you actually been able to see something, it was either pitch dark 99% of the game or you had to play the entire thing with a green screen night vision goggle view, which looked horrible after a while as it didn't allow the graphics to really show off. I'm sure on PC you could adjust it and mod the lighting but it was just too dark to see anything.

WOW! I didn't notice the lack of MGS3! It's my favorite of the series and in my top 3 favorite games of all time. This list is bunk.

Chaos theory is the best stealth game, it's not even a debate. The fact that you have mgs 4 and 5 over it, is extremely worrying. And tlou is a shallow stealth game, If you are comparing it as a stealth game it's not close.

Really? Octocamo. MKII. Stealth camo (I.e. invisibilty or is this the part where you say invisibility doesn't count in a stealth game) Quiet. DDog. Helicopter support. Controlled sandstorms... But "It's not even a debate"

TLoU is mostly stealth. The 'hearing' mechanic screams this. *and I'm not even a fan of TLoU.

I liked mgs4 , i just don't think it's up there. Tlou has weak stealth gameplay, it doesn't have depth that some of other stealtth games have . It has a way better story than most of them tho but this isn't the topic

Nice to see Mark of the Ninja on here, absolutely outstanding stealth game. But yeah, no Chaos Theory is kinda ridiculous. It's one of the greatest stealth games ever made and much more deserving of a spot than Splinter Cell 1 and bloody Conviction.
