Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice New Easy Mod Is Accessible For Beginners

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has started a discussion around games being too difficult and the demand for an easy mode, but thankfully modding on PC has made it possible now.

Why ?!
The game is meant to be hard and tbh it's not even that hard once you know everything
I'm one trophy away from the plat and the game is super fun

sushimama2129d ago

lol you grinding for skill points? mwahahaaa Man that takes a while

AspiringProGenji2129d ago (Edited 2129d ago )

You don’t even have to grind that much in this game to get better at the game. Just beat bosses, get their souls to
Improve attack stat, get the beads to improve defense, and done

sushimama2129d ago

Dude I have the Platinum Trophy. I was talking about having to upgrade all of your skills to get that trophy. It was the last trophy I had to get and it took me hours just to get it.

FunAndGun2129d ago

Same here, that was my last trophy also. I guess if I played through the game 4 times, I would get enough naturally, but I only played trough twice, so those skill points were a bit of a grind. Regardless, it was a great game and that first kill, blood spray, and sound was as satisfying as the last.

GameStallion2129d ago (Edited 2129d ago )

So, I adore the souls series and this game is an instant classic. I’ve also beaten it (Shura ending, no grinding) and almost done with the other 3.
But let me just say in all humbleness, if this game was like 30% less demanding, git-gud-wise, the gameplay would be just as interesting and it would still be challenging.

The death penalty is also a hard pill to swallow. If they could maybe subtract just 15% or change it to where you could collect your “bloodstain” it would feel less enraging.

Okay there, I will never admit to wanting to make a game easier again after this because I’m too prideful.

Rambokind2129d ago

No way, i's perfect as it is. I can't wait for the dlc to come out, probably announced soon.

neutralgamer19922129d ago

It's not hard good to hear but some people want to play the story or just hack and slash

GameStallion2129d ago

Yes, I’m sure this game is like super easy for you because you have the fastest reflexes mankind has ever known. Dude, everyone agrees that Sekiro is hard. To say it’s easy is just trolling, you big ol’ troll haha!

Samus7072129d ago

You know what’s even better for beginners? Practice. Like when a beginner picks up a playing piano. Does piano have an easy mode? Nope. Take lessons, rehearse, get better, master your craft. The end.

sampsonon2129d ago

so if a person buys a keyboard and learns to play notes with the help of it, how does that effect you on the other side of the world with your piano? you won't be seeing them learning right?

please explain to me why you care? I've asked that question of people that talk like you and none have given a valid answer.

Swiftfox2129d ago

There's a difference between sitting a student down with "Mary had a Little Lamb" and learning a few scales, versus sitting down with "Flight of the Bumble-Bee". You start with one and move up to the other and people get what they want from playing the instrument since their personal enjoyment affects nobody else.

If a person wants to play the game on an easier mode it doesn't affect me in the slightest so why should it bother anyone else? Are you afraid of losing cred? Are you afraid of some grandma commenting "Told you I could beat it. Suck it!" and you can be all "Nuh UH, Grandma! Did you beat it on.....EASY?!?!?!" Seriously, people need to check their E-peens at the door--nobody is impressed.

DaCajun2129d ago

Sorry but it doesn't matter what you say no amount of logic or common sense will ever change the thought process of the Instant Gratification Generation.

shauzy2128d ago

@sampsonon if you cant practice on stuff that means you're an incompetent fool that should die with the next wave of natural selection, and you are a useless liability on mankind that is a waste of resources like oxygen and food, you are completely useless and your opinions dont matter to anyone

Here is the thing though why does it bother you and anyone else if a game has a easy difficulty mode or not? Everyone on this site is a damn pro gamer and gets platinum trophy for every game they play we get it yall are the 1%

It's sad when people on gaming sites feel like they should dictate if a game gets a easy mode or not

Since yall already beat the games what's the big deal anyway

Every game should have different difficulty options so people can play whatever suits them best and I for one am glad most games now come with the option and moving forward even more will

Samus7072128d ago (Edited 2128d ago )

It amazes me that this isn’t more obvious to folks like you. The reason why it matters to people like us is that we care about the future of the human race. We look out and see cries of weakness and frailty at every turn. It’s a worrying sign and, while I know we have little power to change this, we can at least speak out against such softness in the hopes of reaching a few souls.

8bitRey2129d ago

While I understand why a mod like this exists...

How can you say you beat a game when you didn't do it how the developers intended it? At least once.

Atom6662129d ago

"How can you say you beat a game when you didn't do it how the developers intended it? At least once."

Why should I care what others do with a game?

AspiringProGenji2129d ago (Edited 2129d ago )

With the Souls games you should. Cheating is cheating regardless. Don’t go to the souls community saying you beat the game with an easy mode mod. You won’t be welcome

Atom6662129d ago

Yeah, don't plan to do that. Also don't care if anyone beat it with or without mods. Not sure why anyone would.

@sampsonon

I have a life and I have beaten every souls game

What about you snowflake?
Still gonna demand an easy mode?

most games have easy, medium, and hard modes. good game too. why don't people cry about that?

and why do you care?

plus, the more people that can play it the more revenue the company makes, which in turn goes towards another project. more money for put towards games makes for a better experience in most cases.

sampsonon2129d ago

the developers have now intended to make the game with two modes.

william_cade2129d ago

Cool. People's quest to make a good game, shitty.

sampsonon2129d ago

how is it shitty? i mean if adding an easier mode for people that don't sit around their parents basement playing games all day. what's wrong with that?

what? you think completing a video game is a big accomplishment? you have issues, and need to find a higher cause. little kids.

Hells yeah. Would love to see another really tight action focused title next. Be cool if he did something completely different, like a cyborg-ninja game.
