Captain Cat struts onto the Nintendo Switch but is this feline puzzler the cat’s pyjamas or a stray too many.
Rob Pitt writes: The Nintendo Switch has an impressively large library of games, considering it’s only been on sale for two years. However, as you dive into the e-Shop and poke around, you’ll notice that there are easily over a thousand direct ports of mobile phone and tablet games.
Developers and publishers are aware that the device has replaced a lot of people’s mobile phones when it comes to casual gaming. One such title which I’ve been taking a look at this week is Captain Cat from developer Digital Tentacle and publisher Hidden Trap.
Captain Cat is a mobile game from back to at least 2012 that is being ported to Xbox One and Switch. While there’s not a lot of content to extend to several play sessions, gamers will likely get $6.99 worth of entertainment in an afternoon. Captain Cat provides a TV-sized bite of some quality mobile entertainment.
