My personal handhelds go PSVita, psp, Gameboy advance, DS, Gameboy.

I had so much of my childhood into early adult years paved by these devices. I personally haven’t picked up a switch yet as my gaming convenience have changed and portable is no longer as convenient as it was for me in the past.

I will never understand how people can disagree with someone else’s reality. If you have a different list I would love to hear what your experiences are. That would be far more interesting to hear then disagreeing on what my lifestyle currently is.

Nintendo make the best handheld games, there's many killer exclusives on all of them, but Switch is their best handheld/hybrid system no doubt.

Dissidia is best handheld fighting game ever, KH BBs has one of best gameplay for handheld and packed with, Killzone: Mercenary is best handheld shooter and Crisis Core had that best CGI and presentation ever for a handheld. Nintendo just have best sellers and best platform casual games, but no killers in anyway except for Platform, because of course Mario kills Crash and others.

Meanwhile, Xoneblade and Astral Chain, Last Story are few exceptions.

That small list of mediocre games has absolutely nothing , NOTHING on the hundreds of handheld classics Nintendo has made over the years.

They've made litteraly hundreds of iconic handheld games.

I think you really need to do some research and be realistic.

Doom 2016 on Switch has dethroned Killzone: Mercenary in terms of best handheld FPS. Killzone: Mercenary was a blast to play, and truly was the best FPS on handhelds at the time though.

Do you not play many shooters? Because KZ: Mercenaries is decent but it's definitely out of place in any list talking about the best shooters on handhelds. Splatoon 2 is already a better example of a handheld shooter that out does many other competitive shooters in gameplay, map design and core mechanics.

Vita/3DS tied for me and then PSP then Switch . Maybe the Switch moves up but the library needs to improve and I mean games I cant play somewhere else and hopefully the new Pro Switch is more comfortable too

That's why I like to hold off on judging a system until I can do it in hindsight. Whatever is the most current system I own of a particular type will obviously get a lot of use as it's a source of new games, but only in retrospect can I definitively say how its library stacks up with those of other systems.

Haven't had many handhelds but tied for most time played are GBA and PSVita. Helped a lot they hade huge amazing backwards compatible libraries especially with vita able to play PS1 games
