Bleeding Edge is an upcoming arena brawler from Ninja Theory, the developers of Hellblade and DmC: Devil May Cry. We got to go hands-on with the game, and speak to one of Bleeding Edge's directors to learn more about this intriguing title.
Today Ninja Theory announced that content updates for its multiplayer combat game Bleeding Edge will cease.
Bleeding edge was fun for about 30 min but after that it’s just repetitive. They said it was just a game they’ve been working on for fun. But I’m glad they are putting everything into senua and I’m excited to hear about the “more”
Too bad
The game just didn't deliver anything good or new
It was another game I didn't have to purchase due to Gamepass
WTMG's Jason Palazini: "2020 has been a rough year filled with disappointments. As much as as we enjoy our games, even they were capable of letting us down."
From middling to downright mortifying, these games failed to meet expectations.
RE3R hurt my gaming souls that game could’ve been a masterpiece instead hit was just show horned in for the Resistance mode.
I didn't expect much from Bleeding Edge but was still disappointed. It's like they were actively trying to make a terrible game.
"But yeah, Ninja Theory has two teams back at the studio, one working away on the type of stuff [fans] might be used to, this is not a change in direction for the studio. There's more than one thing that we're working hard on.""
A shame that this even needs to be clarified but we are all well aware of the overreactions that some people have across the night when it comes to games.
I like the fact that it's melee type combat with some uses of the actual arena too. I wasn't a fan of NT's DmC but the one thing I did like about the game was it's combat, here's hoping that over the top action can work well for a 4v4 game like this.
Great art style and developer. Zero interest in an online arena brawler which will undoubtedly be loaded with microtransactions etc though.
I’m in the alpha I missed the first session though, I’m gonna try it on the 4th when the next session is but I don’t have high hopes tbh I don’t really like melee combat in games because very few make it enjoyable but hopefully it’s good.
Wow this gameplay looks pretty good! It has eased some of my concerns. Looks clean and shows, to me, that it has been in development for a while like they stated.
Maybe this game will be alright after all. I'm still disappointed that 'this' is the project they were working on before being bought by Microsoft, but I'm picking up a certain charm, I think?
Can't see myself spending too much time with a game like this, but I get the appeal it has for people who like this sort of thing.
