While it’s been confirmed for some time now that Nightwolf would be a part of the first Mortal Kombat Kombat Pack, what wasn’t known was when the character was going to be released. In fact, with Shang Tsung only recently being released, many had speculated that the next character to join the fight would be the first guest character, Spawn. However according to a recent PC leak and tease by Ed Boon himself, it would appear that Nightwolf will be Mortal Kombat 11 next DLC character.
A Mortal Kombat 11 Easter egg has finally been found years after it was originally teased by the senior designer who put it in.
The Humble Melee Mayhem Bundle just launched recently. It includes ten items including Mortal Kombat 11, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, Chivalry 2, and more.
From VGC: "Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon says the announcement of his studio’s next fighting game will have to wait until 30th aniversary celebrations are over.
Boon explained on Twitter that while he understood fans were anxious to hear about the next NetherRealm Studios game announcement, the studio would be focusing on the 30th anniversary of Mortal Kombat first."
Guess this means there's going to be some sort of rerelease, maybe a remake of Mortal Kombat Trilogy
I’d love it if they had the original actors recreate the animation captures from the original so they can reskin the game with mOLDer Kombat.
Looking forward to Nightwolf but still a bit disappointed. Spawn couldn't come soon enough. Even if he turns out to be the lowest tier, as long as they succeed capturing him properly, he'll be my main.
What I wish, which I don't think will happen, is that they really capture his cloak. It's such an important part of his character. Technically I don't see how they could, I've been in game/movie industry for almost 23 years now and I just don't see it happening.
The most advanced real-time clothing in any video game so far this generation comes nowhere near the complexity of his cloak.
Oh and just along the same lines, one of the things, along with proper hair, (cloth, hair, and even advanced destruction like proper bending and tearing are really part of the same technology) and proper lighting (real-time global illumination through raytracing + reflections), that I think will be showpieces come next year to show why these machines will be worth it.
I think developers will have to pick and choose (I'm currently in film and know just a little bit of next-gen from friends), don't think they'll be able to do all at once but I've been very impressed with what they've squeezed out of the current gen -- particularly Last of Us 2 if it really looks and behaves like the footage they've shown.
Is the Joker, the actual Joker; or is it the one from Persona?
Nightwolf should have been there day one, instead of lame Frost.
Can't wait to buy the complete version a year from now for like $20.
