yeah, I knew it was only a matter of time before they added something like this but dam its funny cause the community was just praising them on not doing this stuff and then suddenly they are.

Real gross though that they essentially took the RNG out of Battle Royale. I mean its still there, but players who earned/bought items are now guaranteed to get them.

Activision doesn't get as much hate as they deserve...

As happy as I am that they didn't fuck over Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled with micro transactions, (I bought the game, and I am enjoying it greatly), Activision deserves just as much hate as EA for pulling shit like this with Call of Duty.

I'm glad I drop this game as soon as they introduced lootboxes into the game back in February.

Oh activision as if the game wasnt predatory enough already. Such a shame they arent being called out as badly as ea on these scummy greedy moves. Imagine how badly MW will have it too post launch.

excaliburps26d ago

Agreed. EA is the poster boy for MTX and scummy practices, but Acti is equally guilty. Insane how they plan these out as well. Release the game without MTX, introduce MTX after reviews are out, integrate guns into loot boxes (essentially making it P2W), and voila.

Games been pay to win for a while now really, but now it's just extended to the Battle Royale mode. It's crazy how EA gets destroyed by the media and gamers for this kind of stuff, but Activision gets a pass everytime. Can't wait to see what they do for this years game.

In game ADs during the SP campaign in between missions

Hungryalpaca26d ago

Are they trying to kill their own game?

ServerBOT26d ago (Edited 26d ago )

Statistics proabably show on their data that idiots spending money on this stuff far outweigh the outcry.
cause all they see is money.

excaliburps26d ago

Yep. Just go on Twitch and you see streamers spend thousands of money on these things, which is why Acti thinks it's worth it. Sigh.

Game has been dead for awhile now. The updates break the game, they "fix" the issues, and then continue to shove MTX down people's throats...
