Pokemon fans are riled up about Pokemon Sword and Shield. Here's a breakdown of the reasons why.

It should be:
1) Gold/Silver/Crystal
2) Red/Blue/Yellow
3) Ruby/Saphire/Emerald
The rest can be put in any order you want.
I liked Sword/Shield (Which didn't even make the list) way more than Scarlet/Violet, but everyone has opinions.
IMO I think S&S is better because it's more visually appealing due to it's nice backdrops and linearity, but it was still meh. I couldn't bother finishing Scar/Vio, they managed to make an even more boring broken game only 2 games after S&S and that's quite impressive.

even games like ranger or colleseum/ XD

Me to my 8 year old son (who has 100's of hours on various pokemon games): " I just read an article that said some of the older pokemon might not make it into sword and shield."
My 8 year old son: "Ok."
Me: "How does that make you feel?"
My 8 year old son: "Its fine, I'll have new ones to catch and I can always go play my other games if I want."
Me: " Yeah, that makes sense."
I've said it many times now, buy ask the target audience what they think. I think Game Freak is Ok with their decision.
