it's start of nothing until sales prove it's worth it

SpeedDemon1763d ago

Not necessarily, look at Bayonette.

rdgneoz31763d ago

Bayonetta had a following to start off from the first being multiplat.

SpeedDemon1763d ago (Edited 1763d ago )

Bayo 1 was a great game that sold poorly, it did gather a following but do you really believe that many of the people that played it on the 360 and PS3 went our and bought a Wii U and Bayo 2? Because I doubt many of them did. Nintendo invested in Bayo because they wanted their system to have a broader appeal. If Astral Chain ends up selling poorly but receive high praise from gamers and critics (Like Bayo), I can see Nintendo investing in a sequel.

Nintendo just threw a ton of money at Bayonetta to keep it exclusive.

Game looks like a solid go for me so trilogy sounds amazing in my book. Your stealth troll attempt is laughable at best.

antikbaka1763d ago

No trolling or something like it. Really. It's just how games and film industry works, what he said - nothing more than marketing or promises written in water to create hype and support sales. And Platinum games are famous for..not consistant game quality, let's be honest for every Hit they produce like 2 average games and a horrible one. I saw very little in this game to praise, it gonna be average one,

A Switch game that looks interesting to me.

EddieNX 1763d ago

The game looks incredible. Like many other Switch exclusives do.

If Nintendo stopped making hardware and just published their games , I would still buy all of them on other platforms. They're just too good to miss which is why I have a Switch.

Let's hope so I'll never say no to more character action games from Platinum games.

Chriswynnetbh1762d ago

Not that this is bad but I just really hope they make a completely self contained game and don't cop out on a cliffhanger ending. This is one of my biggest issues with HZD. The game was great but the last boss fight was very anticlimactic and then it just ended on a cliffhanger so as to set up the sequel.
