Final Fantasy VII's story is frighteningly relevant today, perhaps more so than when it was released in 1997.
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.

"Of all the games, fans adored Final Fantasy VI the most, but Final Fantasy VII was a solid second place"
Sure...which one is getting the multi million dollar remake again?
Personally, I really fell in love with, Mario Oddyssey, Pokemon XY, Platinum, Nier Automata, The Last of Us, Uncharted, MGS4, Persona 4 and 5, The Witcher 3, CODMW2, KH, let alone other FF games, DMC, Bayonetta, GOW, Yakuza and much more. But FFVII is always been special comparing to every game it is the most premium gaming experience ever. Although it is just a 1997 PS1 game barely called pre rendered 3D, it delivers depth, relations, backstory, flashes, character, enemies, not a totally bad or good guys, representing military movement, corruption of who in charge and forms, casual people, athletes, cultures, people of different background and different interest, premium(ing) skill system and called it materia, side quests with much impact for gameplay wise, legacy of Zack and Sephiroth, the complicated nature of human and how Tifa is dealing with Cloud false memory, Barret a mad person who is single parenting, I can go on and on. FFVII is just the best thing ever came up in this industry.
