As part of Activision's preparations for the release of Guitar Hero World Tour, the publisher is partnering with distributor Active Music to stock, display and demonstrate the game in a number of music stores.
Speaking to Edge, Active Music's Lee Worsley explained the reasons behind the deal; "a lot of guitarists and drummers tend to visit specialized outlets rather than the high-street to buy their instruments. This is a new market for Activision, they can see the potential of selling more copies of Guitar Hero by targeting a very specific customer, and they're obviously going to sell well."
