Call of Duty Modern Warfare is about “when you don’t pull the trigger,” not when you do

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is released later this October and promises to massively change up how Activision and Infinity Ward are approaching the series.

It'll be interesting to see the series hold back a bit

It's an interesting year for Activision - I think the CoD series is in a kind of 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' place, and I'm intrigued to see the reception to this soft reboot

Great no more generic Hollywood movie where you escape a collapsing buliding at the end of every level.

Or shooting bad guys from a speed boat that you fell into after a helicopter attacked you as you were rappelling from a skyscraper causing you to fall into said boat.

Pepin1772d ago

I think even the fact that they've got a level based on the terror attacks at London Bridge shows they're trying to do something wildly different. Hard to get that tone right, though...

I think people who saw the closed door demo are giving a false interpretation of what the game is going to be. I highly doubt this is going to be a conservative style shooter that focuses on morals and consequences. That's just not CoD's style. It's always been a twitch shooter in regards to the campaigns. I highly doubt the campaign is going to show the moral consequences of your actions every time you choose to pull a trigger. These journalists need to calm down. They saw one level from a backstage demo, and they think it's going to be this grand commentary on how killing is bad.
I'm not falling for this shit. The same thing happened to a game that came out several years ago. A little game known as "HomeFront." Look how that shit turned out lol Before the game's release, the media was trying to spin it as an "emotional campaign" with consequences. Give me a fucking break xD

Pepin1772d ago

This is an interview with the guys that made and wrote the game, I don't think they're trying to lie to anyone

goldwyncq1772d ago

So I guess you know better than the people who actually got to play the game.

CanadianTurtle1770d ago (Edited 1770d ago )

You must be new to games journalism bud. The media loves to overhype demos for clicks. Again, look at how the media hyped up Homefront before it's release

Redlife2g1772d ago

Lmao I'll believe it when I see it.. I guarantee online will be the same nonsense

Pepin1772d ago

This piece is explicitly talking about the campaign

even though I don't play Garry's Mod, it is still bad

I was reading it's all just false reports from a troll who's done things like this in the past and not Nintendo themselves.
