Let's say one truth: the story of Zelda games are really convoluted and bad.

pietro12121771d ago

The time is convoluted. The games themselves are great and fun to play. If you find the games to be convoluted, you're probably just not good at them.

IMissJimRyan1771d ago (Edited 1771d ago )

Please do not play the role of "Nintendo Defense Force" with me. I just highlighted a fair review of the Zelda series game: in terms of stories they are shallow, simplistic and convoluted.

No need to feel personally offended by it.

pietro12121771d ago

Unlike you I just know what I'm talking about. I'm more of a Sony fan, but I own a Switch and I appreciate the Zelda franchise. Something can't be both simplistic and convoluted. Btw the franchise has never been known for strong story telling.

IMissJimRyan1771d ago

A bunch of poorly connected simplistic ideas generates a convoluted story. Kingdom Hearts that says it.
The focus of their first comment was the attack on what I said about the history of the games, saying they were "great and fun to play." And what if I thought the story convoluted was because I "just did not good at them". I could not understand the connection between my ability to play and my assessment of the story, but I put it aside.
And now you come back and agree with my starting point, that the history of the games is weak.
I think you need to first understand what is being said, examine what you think about it, and then express your opinion. Or, otherwise, you will look like this madman who disagrees with himself.

Once again what is convoluted about the stories in the Zelda games? Save the princess, save the land, you're the hero of light that's all there is too it. Pretty straightforward if you ask me.

I am SO excited for this game.

Author is so desperate and starved for Zelda news he made up his own titles lol talk about stretching

Jeriphro630d ago

Did you bother reading it? It was quite insightful. Sure, the author made up title names, but they weren't uneducated guesses. They are based on proper research and understanding of the series.

The Legend of Zeldan Ring. I wouldn't mind that one bit.

dmonee696d ago (Edited 696d ago )

They need to do something. Nintendo faithfuls are gonna gobble this game up and they should. For Elden Ring players???? They’re going to take a big proverbial dump all over it. Nintendo has an opportunity to perfect this open world balance. Elden Ring is flawed. For some reason there was a middle ground that FROM software didn’t venture into, but I believe they eventually will. If they hit that sweet spot then, this new and improved, open world, Souls formula is not only going to dominate gaming, but be copied, replicated and become the de facto standard for open world games in years to come. Breath of the wild 2 has an opportunity to punch Elden ring in the face, and I hope they do, because I’m so sick and tired of losing, dying, raging, and trying again…..

I would play this if it were more like Elden Ring. Not a bad idea actually.
