Seemingly following Apple’s business model of the “evolving” product, Microsoft’s impressive reveal of the Elite 2 controller during their E3 press conference surprised many.
"I ultimately decided the controller isn't for me" Nor is anything else Xbox, from your bio. I always love it when they get people that are Centric (and admittedly Centric) to the other consoles to review something Microsoft/Xbox. $80 for a Nintendo switch controller, you're lucky if you can find one on sale for the average retail price of a basic Xbox controller, and the Xbox controller is a lot better, notwithstanding Nintendo adopted the Xbox controller design to begin with... Xbox in and of itself is turning out to be a niche product, and I'm glad for it. it caters more to adults, and people that don't give a shit about one-and-done games only, and a thousand jrpgs...
OH! GREAT is it going to be a cheaply made pieces of shit again?
"Cheaply made pieces of shit again?" I am sorry dude, you probably never even touched the first Xbox One Elite Controller. You can argue all you want about pricing, whether it is worth it for you, etc. However, the thing is a damn solid controller and is only becoming better seemingly if they do not mess it up - which seems hard to do considering how well-made the first one was. The thing was more metal than plastic and quite light for what it was. All first-party controllers are mostly made well, it's the third-party ones you have to watch out for. I don't know if you saw the reviews for the first one, but your opinion is sorely a reactionary one at that.
It is an amazing controller, but it falls apart. Every person I know, including myself, who purchased one has had issues. The rubber grips fall off, it starts to drift, the buttons become spongy etc. Just Google any of this, it has widespread design flaws. But when new and before these flaws show it is the best controller I have used.
I should add that because Microsoft no of the widespread faults they did fix my 12 month old controller free of charge and without any issues.
i have one jack ass my friend kept having to replaces it every few months i was away careful with it and it still wear down compare to my normal control which is still fine so plz explain to me what i am missing here
I can see it doing well among PC gamers at the very least. For that chunk of change, I would expect Scarlett to support it.
"Seemingly following Apple’s business model of the “evolving” product, Microsoft’s impressive reveal of the Elite 2 controller during their E3 press conference surprised many." No need to read beyond this... Has windows not evolved over time? Why is Apple getting credit for this model?
Think I'll buy a Switch Slim/lite instead
