Long live the Tales of franchise

DarkOcelet3052d ago

Amazing. I cant wait for Tales of Berseria.

FullmetalRoyale3051d ago

I'll be jumping on that one, trying the series for the first time.

Abracadabra3052d ago (Edited 3052d ago )

16 million sales for 17 games, that's not a lot.

... But if Namco are happy, then keep it up.

MegaRay3052d ago

More than half of those titles are Japanese excusives, so those are good numbers, considering the budget of JRPGs and all.

MegaRay3052d ago

Gratz Bamco. If only more people would give "Tales of" series a chance instead of listening to websites that downplay those wonderful games.

I cant wait for Tales of Berseria

Good numbers for a good franchise.

Keep it up.

12 Games That Need Official English Localizations

BT writes: In this day and age, fan translations exist for just about every video game worth playing. Emulation is bigger than ever, even going so far as to support an entire console with only the promise of illicit ROMs. English speakers exist in a constant state of choice overload. Yet I am not satisfied.

There are still plenty of titles that I would love to see given proper, official localizations in North America. I’m sure many of you would rather support talented translation team like XSEED Games as well, so let’s take a moment to highlight the gems that Japan continues to keep to itself.

Idunno why they just dont kickstart their games if cost is an issue. Kickstarter shows people will throw money on lots of various things and raise hundred thousands of dollars.

It's mostly because Kickstarters is like a gamble. Even companies don't know if it's going to work on in the end, and the thing is, not many people actually go to Kickstart until they actually hear about this cool bad ass title that's going to be released 4 years from now. Things like that really retract developers as well as gamers.

Yakuza 5.
I hate Sega -__-

Kamikaze1353917d ago

Yep....I really wish they skipped out on that zombie Yakuza game getting localized and used those resources to localize Yakuza 5. Not that it was bad game, but I would much rather have Yakuza 5.

Sega makes so many poor decisions it's no wonder there console business went under. So many people in the west would love to play Phantasy Star Online and yet there is no translation as of yet. Then Sega wonders why they don't make profits in the West. The entire executive management staff at Sega needs to be fired.

fsfsxii3917d ago

They can make a profit in the west, by fucking advertising their games. I didn't even know of Yakuza 3 until my friend told me about it, same goes with Yakuza 4, i knew about it from the demo. Back then, i didn't get around the internet.

Infernostew3917d ago (Edited 3917d ago )

Yakuza 5 and Tales of Vesperia PS3 :(

cleft53917d ago

Trails in the Sky Second Chapter absolutely needs an official translation.

Fullmetalevolust3917d ago

DARN IT Sega! Time to localize some shining force games!
We haven't seen one localized since the ps2 days and those were action rpgs and not what shining force is all about, tactical strategy and great power struggle plots.

Important Importables: 10 import DS games that should be in the eShop

Nintendo should have a DS Imports section akin to Sony's PS1 Imports, and titles like Ouendan 2, Soma Bringer, Jump Ultimate Stars and Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland should be in it.
