I didn’t think it was possible but Bethesda could win E3 . MS was horrible besides the multiplats of Cyberpunk and Tales and Elden Ring but you can’t count Multiplats towards MS’s show . I want Elder Scrolls 6 but it isn’t suppose to be there so Evil Within 3 is all I can think of .

I'm surprised people are calling MS horrible. They didn't break any records, but they showed a lot of games coming that they now own, announced they own even more, and shared enough about the future to keep people enticed. Why are we negging on them showing us third-party games that we want to play? Not like Sony was there to show those games, so someone had to.

the games were going to release regardless and as for the exposure they would have released a trailer sometime anyway as well. Only the indies really need E3 tbh people don't appreciate indies as much as AAA games though.

Edit: I will give credit where it's due though, and say that the Double Fine buyout was probably the highlight of the show for them. That's a good stream of new interesting games or at least possible new interesting games.

But it's not like they didn't show alongside a ton of exclusives. Why criticise those at all when it wasn't all they had? It's just like every other conference and something we praise Sony for in the past.

Bethesda usually has some good shows, so it's not that surprising. They always talk themselves down based on the trends of the year of where they screwed up. As soon as I write that, Tood Howard made a joke about the negative press they've gotten, and is talking about FO76. The showings themselves are usually pretty good though.

It's usually after the conferences they screw things up....typically also headed by Tood Howard.

I'm putting my money on Square Enix though. They have a lot of potential things they could show which would be big, and FF7 release date would be big if it's as soon as next year, coupled with a solid game play showing.

Edit: Not two minutes after I submit this, they go into a mobile game. So, maybe I spoke too soon.

Even though they should keep Fallout 76 far away from the stage. Knowing Todd Howard and Bethesda they will most likely double down on it and spend way too much time talking about it. I can't wait to see Doom Eternal though.

Commander Keen is back, but it is a mobile game instead of a PC/console game, so I'm still waiting for Commander Keen to return.

Certainly got me interested. Certainly the best of E3 so far.

And for the first time, they had an uninteresting overly produced ESO trailer, compared to all the prior ones which were beautiful to watch, even if they were nowhere near close to what you saw in game.

Some of these people seem way too overexcited for these announcements or people coming on stage. I wonder if they're Bethesda employees who are celebrating their colleagues, because the press doesn't really get that hyped up over every little thing. I mean, they barely applauded Gears or Halo, and even for other big games like God of War at it's first reveal they didn't go ape shit crazy. If they go crazy over the commander keen mobile game which looks fairly generic so far, then it'll confirm my suspicions.

They definitely work at Bethesda lol. And yeah that eso trailer was pretty cool but you’re right that’s just a trailer. I like the evil within games though and I have no doubt they will be able to pull off the concepts in that trailer. I’m not even worried about it, I’m hyped as a horror fan.

ESO does have some of the best trailers for the game. The three leading up to ESO release were epic, and in places, some of the best CGI I had ever seen up to that point. Could have used more of the spellsword redhead elf, which was disappointingly not as well produced at last years show, but nice to see her again, but this one....not really all that cool. Nothing that made me want to know what was going on.

Only time I see that is when legends walk out on stage like Kojima or Miyamoto who don't make regular appearances at shows. Every other conference, the crowd just feels awkward with wooden comments from presenters, and silent during bad jokes.

this conference was simply shit, the cheering on fallout 76, todd howard not fired, the evil within pratically canned for a new less interesting horror game (i'll give it a chance anyway), reviving an old game with a shitty mobile game, the crowd so shamefully payed, uninteresting games like rage 2 and deathloop, doom played on a phone...
doom eternal was the only genuine cool thing of this shitfest.
