Virtual Reality needs to hit the perfect balance between price and quality. That might be the Oculus Quest.

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.

It could be free and it wouldn't matter at this point. There isn't really a PCVR Market and I say that as a PCVR user. It is modders and enthusiasts with a few retail products on Steam.
Warner Bros. Discovery is closing down Adult Swim Games, delisting its published games. Thus putting Rick and Morty VR in jeopardy.
It's not blowing up but it is sure steady on its upward course to be a very good alternative to regular gaming. Oculus being the first 6dof stand alone will definitely help with adoption and its cross play/cross buy on some titles. Some might not like Oculus releasing Rift S. But we need more users than more high end headsets that have no games to take advantage of them and the high cost to buy them.
PSVR has been leading the charge on the console end and helping adoption. Great games, great, periodic, discount sales and ease of use have definitely kept VR alive besides game sales hitting the sales charts like Blood and Truth, Astrobot, Beat Saber, etc. Beating out some flat games on sales lists shows that the medium can have hits when done right.
Got a long road ahead for broader acceptance of the platform. Would help even more if they can solve the motion sickness for some gamers. But it'll get there. AR and MR too. It's definitely going to be an interesting future for those able to experience it.
