Pokemon Sword and Shield show that the series is finally evolving

The current evolution is acceptable in my opinion. Changing too much and you’ll have people saying “oh its not Pokemon anymore, its Digimon!!!!!” Heck, some people here already said that after the Dynamax reveal.

However, last year’s Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee showed that the series hadn’t evolved all that much over the years and that it felt fresher by simply streamlining a few elements.

But this is still correct.. From Sapphire and Ruby forward I as a pokémon player can't say it has evolved all that much and this is exactly what he guy is saying. Don't know if you only read the title but I feel the same way. Sure there is the mega evolutions and things have been added with every game but I think this is a bigger change when it's also for the first time is on a half home console. Waited forever for it to be on a more powerful console. For the first time I feel it's taking a huge step forward in scope thanks to new hardware.

Let's Go was my first Pokémon game and while it was fun I found it incredibly easy. And that was without using Pikachu for the vast majority of the game. Hoping they up the difficulty a bit for this.
