E3 no longer is the significant showcase it once was in the past. I don't want it to disappear, but I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. We'll see how it evolves through out next gen.

I love E3 and would hate to see it go. It is/was the Gamer's Superbowl. However, in this age of cloud streaming of games I really wish they would create a virtual E3 where Gamer's could stream show floor demos. That would be epic to be able to see and try games on the show floor without even attending. No lines as well!

Sony has nothing new to show at the momment and EA is licking their wounds. E3 has nothing to do with it. They´ll all be back in 2020

Solidifies my decision not to view E3 this year.

This may well end up being the least watched E3 ever with so many publishers and devs not attending.

Microsoft better go big or stay home.

You know what the other side of this coin means? It means should MS kill it with their show, (and they did last year) no one is there to stop the echoing thunder from that success. I think Sony is very much gonna regret not showing up at E3. MS has their sights on success and Sony "not showing up" could be their biggest mistake ever.

The only big dev that is not attending is Sony. Even EA is there even if they don’t have a conference (because let face it, what are they gonna show? Fifa 20900008?). So Where did you get that “so many” part?

Are the devs that make Elder Scrolls6 the same exact devs that's making their other games? What about Ubisoft and Skull and Bones are they the same devs that's making Beyond Good & Evil? Rocksteady said they have nothing to show so don't be disappointed with them which is a disappointing statement within itself. Then you have EA and Sony also not attending, seems like many to me and that's just going off the article, probably a few more may be no shows.

If I'm wrong in my understanding then my bad and feel free to inform.

Are you seriously excited for Skull and Bone and EA’s games? And on the topic of Skull and Bone, yes their devs won’t be showing their games, but Ubisoft own them, and Ubisoft is there. Same thing with ES6, even if the game isn’t shown Bethesda still is there. You are nitpicking just for the sake of it.

SP Elder Scrolls skipped an entire generation so it's not surprising they haven't bothered with E3. Been too long.

Last of us 2 got pushed back to next year because this year is crowded with big titles like borderlands and death stranding plus Pokemon etc. That's why alot of companies are moving dates around . Forward backward etc. People move away from big AAA titles death stranding will be Hugh I can tell collectors edition sold out lol and so did borderlands 3, Pokemon will sell millions as well call of duty modern warfare will too, ghost recon will sell like crazy alot if people are waiting on those games ...
