It seems that an early listing on Amazon UK may have confirmed Watch Dogs 3 will be called Watch Dogs Legion.
I like the setting choice. We need more games set overseas, IMHO. Also, please don't make me an American in London. I'm cool with playing someone from the UK.
it says in the description that you can literally play as any NPC in the game. I smell some sort of GAAS title
The game description has spelling mistakes, bad grammar and the prose is just bad fanfic. The picture of the customer account says to deliver to Pakistan. The website TheNerdMag's second largest audience, according to Alexa, is India. My suspicion is that whilst the game is real, this Amazon posting is fake. "London makes total sense for WD, as the city has one of the highest surveillce levels in the world making this the perfect playground." -Surveillance is spelt wrong! "London is one of the most iconic cities in the world and has had a massive influence on all of Western Culture for centuries… London makes total sense for WD" - You don't spell culture with a capital C. "London makes total sense for WD" -Why would any publisher say X location makes sense for our game?! -Why would they abbreviate the title of their own game to WD "Play as anyone, Every individual you meet in the open world" -anyone has a comma after it therefore the word every should not begin with a capital letter.
That’s cool I didn’t see that.
@Venom you are right there are multiple errors, normally Id agree but Kotaku also backing it as info they heard themselves. https://kotaku.com/watch-do... sure they could be BSing, but Jason kind of been doing things like this lately (he did with Modernwarefare) where when it leaks he just outright confirms it
Venom, it's in Amazon's system, I've seen it. Now, maybe someone did something sneaky to get it on there, but most of the stuff you mention had no bearing on it, especially where the person who took the screenshot is located (Pakistan). Text is also historically bad for initial filling info (it's literally submitted by interns or the like normally).
@Venom WD3 is for real. Knew about this for some time. Got a connection....
@nitrowolf2 That could just be the jump in mp that watch dogs has. Liking that its in London for a change..
The listing has now been removed from Amazon UK.
I like the setting but I mean "Post Brexit World" Here we go with the politics...
Yeah. The whole series about government surveillance state being about politics... Who woulda thunk?
Brexit is not about surveillance or security politics though Never has been
Exactly, this game is being made by a bunch of French Remainers at Ubisoft, who want to portray Brexit in a negative light. There are certainly a lot of SJWs that have been working on this series since Watch Dogs 2 (Bernie Sanders Supporter Simulator), and I think they have retained those people for this game. The first Watch Dogs might have been a poor experience, but at least it wasn't overtly political.
It was a lot of fun wreaking havoc on the AI in Watch Dogs 2.
And i just realized I never got around to WD2.... I missed a good one it seems
Yeah, I even have to finish the 1st one. I keep seeing the second on sale and want to grab it. But like I said I haven't finished the first so I'm not going to buy the 2nd yet lol. I'm cheap plus my backlog is massive....
I really enjoyed the 1st one (completed) but for some reason I never finished the 2nd one
I am in the minority that thinks the first one was far better than the second. The second game gave you too much power, with the flying drone and the ability to see through walls. Everything that made the first game unique was made obsolete as a result.
The best part about it.
Definitely want more Watch Dogs!
I don't like the boring UK setting, super boring country, more fun in the us
Someone has never heard of Glasgow before......... Actually quite a few areas in the UK that would work really well.
Almost surreal how much that reads like a Trump tweet.
The us has been overused
Clearly never been to the UK xD
Im with smolinsk on this, I live in London and not sure if driving around somewhere I know well will be that fun.
Rumor + Confirmed don't go together
But Rumour + Ubisofts new yearly churn do 😑🥴😂
I was about to say the same thing. I also wish it was the first time I had seen the English language butchered in a gaming headline to the same effect.
How does one manage to use the words "Rumor" and "Confirmed" in the same title?
On Kotaku, they said there’s no combat?
I love when rumor and confirmed are in the same sentence
Ideal setting. Liked WD1, but didn't get WD2. If Ubisoft made good characters, i'd be interested.
Same here. Love WD1 setting, skipped 2
"Rumored" & "Confirmed" LOL!?!? Still haven't played any of the Watch Dogs games. I wonder if this one will capture my interest.
Wait for number 4 they might get it right by then.
Unpopular opinion. I actually like Watch_Dogs
That is not unpopular opinion. Alot of people do like Watch Dog, including myself.
I forced myself to finish the first one, it was one of the biggest disappointments this entire generation for me. However due to an Amazon screw up I got Watch Dogs 2 for free and enjoyed it far more than the first (despite some extremely annoying characters)
Love the location! I would love to see more games use settings in Europe, hell I'd love an open world game set in Australia but that's another conversation. Not sure about being able to be anyone, from a character standpoint.
I can't wait. Watch Dogs 2 was absolutely fantastic.
Well that title seems legit. How can something be a rumour but confirmed?
I'm keen for this as I enjoyed the first two, but if it's some gaas/forced-online garbage it will be another one to cross off my list. Along with Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Beyond Good and Evil 2. Fine by me, more money to spend elsewhere!
If it's a rumour then it's not confirmed
i iked the first one, but not the second.
I played half of the first one and just started playing something else and I hate doing that but I just got bored . I bought 2 which I heard was much better but I never got around to it. I’ll give it a chance someday but it’s still at least in the middle of my backlog. 3 sounds better being in London . I probably won’t buy it until I play 2 though .
unless this will be a paywall-ridden cashgrab as a service i don‘t see how they will get their money back. gaas-people support anything that moves, but gamers will definitely shy away. so this business model better be as shady as shady can be. xD
Boooo to the the setting choice Bland and unexpired landscape Skip for me
Awesome, not a lot of games set in London/UK in recent years, particularly in a modern setting, should be great. Loved the first one and the second improved massively, so hoping for another nice improvement.
My gut tells me this is legit and we will be playing as a female punk hacktivists.
Loved them, especially the second one and I am looking forward to this one, especially if it is set in London
Oh man London is such an awesome setting, such a beautiful historic city. Let's see just how full tilt sjw they are by ignoring londons insidious Islamic problem. There is a reason it is a surveillance state.
Rumor and Confirmed in the same title. Damn. lol.
Rumor and Confirmed in the same sentence lol
Heck yea!!!! I’m of the minority here but I loved these games. Can’t wait for this
The game will probably suck, but here's hoping it won't.
