I wonder if the PS4 version will be censored ...

TekoIie2175d ago

I mean they'll probably have to start with the box art on this one, lol.

Jman15532174d ago

I believe they've confirmed no censorship, at least in terms of character designs

It was a ps4 game from the jump. I'm pretty sure if it was getting censored it would have long time

Kill la Kill's "partial nudity" is more like fan service of very skimpy outfits, usually with some creative camera angles. Taking it out of the game would be impossible without creating new character models or outfits, although I suppose that could be done, but I don't think the actual stuff for the game falls within what Sony is wanting censored, as that's more related to sexual or suggestive content coupled with the "nudity"(or fanservice as everyone else calls it since it isn't usually nude content), at the same time.

Suggestive themes isn't prohibited under the new policy. Best way to describe it would be like what you'd see in something like Boyonetta. not really directly stated, just obviously meant to be sexy....although Kill La Kill is more tongue in cheek about it being fan service.

The anime has some of those suggestive poses, but I don't think the game uses them in the story, and I don't recall them being like some of the implied sexual activity or "flirting" like you see in some of the games being censored....although I'm not a big follower of the series.

I also think this game underwent certification before Sony's policies went into effect, so it shouldn't be held to the current policy.
