With Days Gone being down to $29.99 Canadian, I might have to get it regardless of my backlog. That price might be too good to pass up.

_SilverHawk_1792d ago

Days gone is an awesome game and the best game released this year so far imo

Neonridr1792d ago (Edited 1792d ago )

yeah I mean I like those style of games, I was just hesitant at first due to the conflicting reviews and my serious backlog of titles. I said I would wait for a price drop before I jumped in, assuming I could actually clear a few titles off before that happens.

Then good ol' Sony goes tugging at the heart strings dangling this juicy carrot in front of my face. Will most likely have to take a bite :P

Although looking closer, apparently these titles will start at $29.99 CDN, so more than likely Days Gone will be like $59.99 or something.

so true - i've already completed the story and have been free-roaming. as of yesterday, i was on day 878 and still unlocked a new (and probably the best) gun in the game.

solideagle1792d ago

will these prices reflect on UK store as well?

HeisenbergX1792d ago

You wont regret it but the game is veryyy long just letting you know

Relientk771792d ago

Wow, Days Gone only at $20. Yeah, I think it might be time for me to bite.

Razzer1792d ago (Edited 1792d ago )

"Days Gone, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, MLB The Show 19 – starting at $19.99 USD / $29.99 CAD (MSRP)"

It says those four games will be priced "starting at $19.99". I doubt Days Gone will be among the lowest priced in that group.

Neonridr1792d ago

ahh fair enough. I totally misread that too.

Relientk771792d ago

Meh, yeah so Days Gone will probably be $40

CR7JUVE18971792d ago

It doesn't necessarily mean that Days Gone would be 20.00 I can't see Sony slashing the price of that game when it has only been out for 1 month and is still selling well.

It says that those titles start at 19.99, not that all of them will be.

Razzer1792d ago

Yep. EU has the prices broken down and has Days Gone at 49.99 euros. I'd expect the US price to be $49.99.

Gotta pick up dualshock 4 since its on sale

Knushwood Butt1792d ago

Yep, one or two of those, plus extending my Plus sub.

xX-oldboy-Xx1792d ago

Way off topic -

Death Stranding is on PlayStations TWITCH Channel, a soft reveal of sorts.

OT : Only interested in Dualshock price drops at this stage, but good for people who don't have those exclusives.

Microsoft should have left them stay 3rd party

GamerRN3h ago

If they are let go, they can be whatever they want. They ARE 3rd party now... 🤦

Barlos42m ago

Yeah, they're also jobless.

PassNextquestion5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region

blacktiger3h ago

that's a shame for you to say that, i'm sure Elite loves hearing what you just said.

Profchaos5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.

I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games

Tacoboto5h ago

It's France too, there's a high likelihood only 1-2 people on the team even had an Xbox.

Profchaos4h ago

Possibly guven all the leaks we know the Xbox brand is really struggling in the region.

Yi-Long1h ago

Well, if your consoles and games are barely found in any stores any more, of course you're gonna struggle finding consumers ...

XiNatsuDragnel4h ago

Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo

Profchaos2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

I think it would have been better for all parties really especially gamers

TheColbertinator3h ago

The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

H923h ago

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

Sony Could Increase Your Game's Difficulty If It Sees You Complain About It

Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.

jznrpg6h ago

This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.

Profchaos6h ago

Souls games will be like that players struggling make it harder

PassNextquestion5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

I think if used correctly it could work well

jambola1h ago

cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me
