Rob Pitt writes: I’m probably one of the few people in the world who grew up around the era of the PlayStation that has never played a Resident Evil game all the way through. As such, we were offered all three of the games which recently came to the Nintendo Switch in order to review them, so I decided it was time I sat down and actually saw what the fuss was all about.

My colleagues have reviewed both Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil 4, leaving me with the game which started it all, the remake of the original 1996 survival horror classic, Resident Evil.
