Good to hear that Days Gone is doing well and topping the charts. On a side note how is GTA V no.2? Are there still people alive who haven't played GTA V yet?.

blackblades2223d ago

I havent played either, last I played was vice city or gta3 on pc.

xX-oldboy-Xx2223d ago

It's always in the Aus charts too, hard to fathom.

Dragonscale2223d ago

Maybe its because there are people only just buying new consoles even now. Its probably a must have with a new machine.

supes_242223d ago

Same here, I haven’t played it yet either. I did buy it on sale a week before Days Gone was released so I’m waiting to start GTAV when I finish Days Gone.

BrettAwesome2223d ago

Wow! You're in for a treat. The story is so far out, yet so well written. Please don't just jump on the wagon for the online stuff. This game was tailored for the single player experience.

supes_242223d ago

@BrettAwesome,
I won’t jump in for online, I’m a single player campaign gamer. As for online, I don’t have the time for that at all! It’ll take me all year jus tho beat Days Gone and GTAV at the rate I’m going now

Fluttershy772223d ago

I haven't played it, and probably I won't (though I did try a little). Whenever I really really like a game, I usually don't try the sequels... Yeah call me crazy, that's the way I am.... Well that game for me was Vice City.

Same with Silent Hill 2 and Dark Souls.

SyntheticForm2223d ago

Vice City was the most memorable GTA for me with its Scarface inspiration and 80's setting. Great soundtrack too.

TheColbertinator2223d ago

@Fluttershy

Vice City's script and characters were interesting too.

Love Fist, Tommy Vercetti, Avery Carrington, BJ Smith and Maurice Chavez. Great game.

UltraNova2223d ago

You haven't played Uncharted 2 then?

isarai2223d ago

Working at a games store, you'd be shocked how many people, either by selling their system, or by somehow getting logged out, will forget their login info and just start a new account and rebuy all their games. Also youd be amazed by how many people constantly sell and rebuy gta v and their systems/library entirely.

Silly Mammo2223d ago

I haven't played it either. I did buy it last Dec when it was basically free (buy it for $14.99, get a $14.99 Amazon GC). But I haven't loaded it yet.

chris2352223d ago

i think they are trapped in these boring online modes. spending a cashton of money each month.

Elda2223d ago

I haven't played it & have no interest to.

Yui_Suzumiya2223d ago (Edited 2223d ago )

I never liked the GTA series so I'm one of them .. I did preorder Duke Nukem Forever and got it at launch for PS3 though.. I enjoyed it a lot more then I think I'd enjoy GTA V.

kneon2223d ago

I haven't bought GTA V, and I never will.

LemyAtom2223d ago

I haven't played it yet either.

How is it there are people who dont own gta 5

Lexreborn22223d ago

I bought it on sale maybe 3 months ago. Still haven’t played it

rainslacker2223d ago

Ive played it, but I don't own it. Or GTA6. I have some of the older games for my collection, but I never got into them much.

Flewid6382223d ago

So there are these things called backlogs....

sampsonon2223d ago

I'm surprised Firewall isn't in there for vr sales. it's a great game so I'm actually shocked.
Congrats Bend.

Livingthedream2223d ago

Good for them! Maybe Sony will invest more on the sequel

solideagle2223d ago (Edited 2223d ago )

let's hope so, its mostly Journalist vs Gamers right now lol

nucky642223d ago

for sony, i imagine good sales trump journalists.

Livingthedream2223d ago

Yeah but great sales trump any negative reviews, plus now with online developers can track completion rates. So if people not only purchase but also invest time with the game, it should lead to a sequel

The7Reaper2223d ago

There was a "journalist" who was mad that the zombies are "white"

If that doesn't say "Don't listen to game journalists in 2019" then I don't know what does.

Batnut002223d ago

Good for them, just gonna go ahead and wait for a sale since the reviews didn't do much for me to want to invest.

xX-oldboy-Xx2223d ago

What about the positive consumer reviews and sales? Surely that would be more indicative of a solid game.

Batnut002223d ago

Sales don't mean anything to me. COD sells like hotcakes every year but that doesn't mean I'm inclined to go buy them, as for word-of-mouth, I mean it's been more mixed them anything else so I'm just gonna wait for a sale and enjoy it when I can.

xX-oldboy-Xx2223d ago

COD is a meme as this stage, a new ip selling well and positively received is another thing entirely - negativity spreads quicker positivity.

When you do decide to buy it I hope you'll enjoy it. It's a cracking game.

xX-oldboy-Xx2223d ago

jagermaster619 - You spud - absolute spud, I think it's you that doesn't know shit. Do you even own a PS4?

bluefox7552223d ago (Edited 2223d ago )

The game is way better than the journos are giving it credit for. It's not perfect, a little rough around the edges, but it's tons if fun. Definitely worth full price. Unless you're in a budget, I'd say go for it.

Knushwood Butt2223d ago

@ Batnut

Warning, this game has repetitive gameplay. Instead, you should save your cash for a game that doesn't have repetitive gameplay.

Hope you get it & discover its story & the fun game that it is.

Sharky2312223d ago

This game is actually a good game! It’s fun! It is by no means a great game. It has plenty of room for improvement. Just like the first uncharted game. I think an in house engine would do wonders for this game!

nucky642223d ago

" It is by no means a great game." - did you ever think that both UC1 and DG1 were new IPs and of course there would be room for improvement? both, however provide amazing fun - and that's what's important.

nucky642223d ago

nope. worth every penny of the 60 dollars i paid - and it's the first game in a LONG time i'm not going to resell after finishing the main story.

2223d ago
JackBNimble2223d ago

$80 in Canada.... is it still worth it?

RememberThe3572223d ago

That's the impression I've gotten. This game is not on the level of a God of War or a Horizon, both games I bought day one with no regrets. But it looks fun enough and I've really enjoyed the games that have been coming from Bend for years now.

while i agree with your take on CoD - i've got over 60 hours in DG and it's a FUN game.

Batnut00, buy it!!!! You won't regret it, brilliant game. Just had a kid so have little time to play, so bought Days Gone as wanted to make the most of when I do get a chance, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It almost feels like an open world Last of Us. It's great how dangerous the world feels, keeps you on edge all the time. I've seen complaints about having to refuel your bike, but that just adds tension to the atmosphere for me. Almost a mission in itself when you run out of fuel, but not enough to be annoying. Probably enjoy it if you're a fan of the Walking Dead, it's like playing as Daryl Dixon but with a personality.

Hardiman2223d ago (Edited 2223d ago )

Congrats on your baby! It's game world is just as detailed as TLOU for sure, which is pretty incredible because it's open world.

I love the hunting and crafting aspects as well as the gun play. I love how the side missions overlap into the main narrative. Anyone who enjoys action/adventure/horror needs to playDays Gone!
