Remember Ryse? Crytek's 2013 Xbox One launch title was a good-looking but brutally short third-person sword and shield combat game that was designed to show off what Microsoft's new console could do. But it wasn't always so.
After AC Odyssey this game is a joke.
I somewhat agree. I like Ryse. But I don't know why everyone is asking for Ryse 2 when AC Oddysey exists now. I don't see how a Ryse 2 would be interesting, even if they do a different time period.
That's a crazy thing to say. You could have said "why do we need Uncharted when we have Tomb Raider?!" Similar style of games, yet very different.. Gameplay is different. Story is different.
@No Way The difference is both Uncharted and Tomb Raider are good. So I would never say that about those games. Ryse is a game about Rome with bad controls and linear game play. Lame story and a bad launch title. AC Odyssey is an amazing game featuring Rome with good controls, combat, missions, story and a fantastic open world. Everything Ryse wishes it was. So really, the fact I have down votes shows what poor taste we have in this community. You should be praising me with up votes for telling the gospel of truth!
If I remember right, this game was supposed to be a kinect game at first.
That's pretty cool. Glad they waited and made it even better for XB1. It's an awesome game.
I wouldn't take a prototype of a game as indicative of what it would look like in its final form. Prototypes are more a proof of concept to see if certain design elements work. Not graphical or performance showcases
