Soon after Mask of the Betrayer, Obsidian started planning for the second expansion. Those that worked on the previous games were very excited to see what they could do now that the tools were solid and they had a firm grasp of the systems. Working against them was a smaller team and shorter development schedule then they had on Mask. But with their experienced team they felt they could deliver a great game with interesting new systems. So Storm of Zehir was born!

NWN2 has been patched to 1.23, which has finally added a multiplayer file auto-downloader, and many other in-game fixes.

I've had a copy of Neverwinter Nights 2 signed by Obsidian dev team for a couple months now. /brag
I haven't played it, though. Maybe I'll try it out this weekend.
