I feel like if it was on Steam it would have sold around 500k at this point. But still, congrats devs for the success.

It would have guaranteed sold more. I have a bunch of friends who wanted it until they saw the Epic logo.

it would even have sold WAY more if it wasnt an online/coopshooter but a proper solo experience with story, campaign and an ai instead of random dudes one has to deal with. just a thought. but i guess they are ok with this sales figure *shrugs*

@chris

So it would have sold more if it was ... an entirely different experience? I mean, you could generalize literally any game with that logic.

I get what you're saying, and I would like to see something like that too. On the other hand, you can't deny the sales strength of similar co-op games such as Killing Floor and Left 4 Dead, whose audience WWZ was clearly aiming for.

It may have been review-bombed so who knows.

zombiewombie516d ago

Why would it have been review bombed?

CaptainCook516d ago

It would've sold around about 500k on steam?

Steam takes 30% cut for each game sold, while Epic takes about 12% cut. The developers will make more profit on Epic than Steam lol

PapaBop516d ago

Isn't it also a multiplayer game though? Talking up the developers making more money will fall on deaf ears if and when this game ends up having population issues.

zombiewombie516d ago

What does that have to do with it selling more on steam?
