Pokemon Sword and Shield is Being Developed With an Emphasis on Portability

The upcoming Pokemon games are returning to its handheld roots.

Pokemon reeeeeeeally needs a reboot coz this feels like the game i've been playing the last few gens.

And kids, u can be sure that there will be a "ultra sword & ultra shield" coming a year from now where you must pay full price for the same game once more. Coz you're worth it.

Lore2244d ago

Yup. When I was a kid I had no issues whatsoever with beefy rpg’s. The constant excuse Nintendo and Gamefreak continue to give regarding this franchise is disappointing. If you want to maximize on the franchise make it as grand as can be, and trust that young kids will figure it out.

They have spin offs for things you want to do differently.

Pokémon main series will always be turn based just like dragon quest series

There are changes in the games little changes here and there while keeping the foundation the same looking from a distance you can’t see the changes all you see is characters walk here and there and battle here and there.

Second versions of the game not the same

It’s obvious you a troll I wasted my whole time writing you I won’t next time again but try not to be ignorant and actually play the game and you will see the difference

It's basically the same game, mate. Small changes. Two new legendaries and a new surf mini game. Should've been a free update. But it's full price.

funny how the 3d games are not in the top 5 haha

Giga_Gaia326d ago

It should be:
1) Gold/Silver/Crystal
2) Red/Blue/Yellow
3) Ruby/Saphire/Emerald

The rest can be put in any order you want.

No way original Gen 1 games are better than R/S/E

Rutaprkl326d ago

I liked Sword/Shield (Which didn't even make the list) way more than Scarlet/Violet, but everyone has opinions.

Inverno326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

IMO I think S&S is better because it's more visually appealing due to it's nice backdrops and linearity, but it was still meh. I couldn't bother finishing Scar/Vio, they managed to make an even more boring broken game only 2 games after S&S and that's quite impressive.

the amount of games with forced exp share making this list is depressing
even games like ranger or colleseum/ XD
or mystery dungeon, way more deserving
