Others that I think should have made the cut:
Streets of Rage 2
Uncharted 2
Killzone 2
Assassins Creed 2
Portal 2
Phantasy Star 2

No uncharted 2 makes that list a complete fail. It's only the 3rd most awarded game of all time.

Saints Row are ok games but not anywhere near all time lists for me personally

jznrpg2241d ago

Uncharted 2 , Suikoden 2 , Dark Souls (I count it as the sequel to Demon’s Souls) Y’s Book 1&2 and a bunch others I’m sure I missed need to be added to the list .

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

That's a pretty fucking great list

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

Immediately thought of the El Dorado zombie dudes in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

Not necessarily a ‘horror’ moment, but I remember feeling really tense and anxious when the Flood were first introduced in the original Halo. I never felt more on edge or nervous in that whole game as that moment. I think it was the whole buildup that something terrible was coming but you didn’t know exactly what.

Another non-horror game that had me feeling it was Subnautica. The deep dark depths, and knowing that sea monsters were lurking nearby, had me jumping at every sound.

That scene where you first see them attack is pretty crazy!

I remember being scared of the Asylum level in the most recent Thief game from 2014.

Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 source code isn't actually lost, reveals former Interplay founder

Video Gamer: "Earlier this week, we released a story that the source code and in-development assets for both Fallout and Fallout 2 were lost. According to series creator Tim Cain, and as far as he knew, the source codes for both of the original games were destroyed. However, that’s not the case."

Then make them playable on consoles of today

This is the comment of the month. I would like to play a good Fallout game on the PS5.

Exactly! So many games locked on PC. Developers need to step up their games
