Persona 5 S Revealed: It's Persona 5 Scramble for PS4 and Nintendo Switch

During the second Persona Super Live P-Sound Street 2019 concert in Tokyo, Atlus finally revealed the mysterious Persona 5 S.

Well now the Muso Zelda game was really well done. So, I am excited for this game. As far as the base game, this is a great step towards getting that game on Switch. Beside, with Persona 5 Royal releasing it is highly likely that this was in the works before the Switch got hot. So I would rather this be a new game, then the base version of Persona 5 but for Switch. If anything, this opens the door for Persona 5 Royal Switch. As long as this sales well on Switch I dont see why they wouldnt make that leap.

But, Musuo games aren't just pushing square. The more you level up you unlock greater branching combos with some having charging effects and cancel combos into each other while killing 1000s of enemies and you typically get local co-op on them as well. I never understand the hate for musuo games because they are all gameplay first in a beat-em-up style.

I don't know whether to be excited or not. Never played Dynasty Warriors or any games in the same genre, so I'm just a tad underwhelmed. I'll definitely buy it as Persona is my favourite video game series and I've enjoyed all the previous spin-offs, but I'm not really sure what to expect.

Since this is a musou/RPG hybrid, the closest examples are games like Fire Emblem Warriors or Dragon Quest Warriors. The RPG elements make it quite a bit different from straight Dynasty/Samurai Warriors games.

I'll have to check out Fire Emblem Warriors and Dragon Quest Warriors to become more educated about what Scramble will be like. At the very least, I have confidence in it being good, and I am somewhat pleased about it being on Switch.

Told everyone it's not likely. Not a single leak provided real proof. Only fact was p5s being trademarked. Told everyone that the moment you find out p5r was not ruby like the fake leak. It was obvious. Everything else was port begging and people running with baseless stuff like it's facts. I don't mind if it gets a switch release, as it makes a steam release more likely. But it was obvious. Why'd they announce Royal as a ps game. I like musuo cross overs so I'm actually more happy for this than any other thing it could have been honestly. Personally, I have no qualms with Persona 5 coming to Switch since I'm sure it would do well in Japan alone and P4G was a grand portable experience, as was Persona 3 FES. I think Atlus has a unique opportunity here to further increase the popularity of Persona. That all said, I wouldn't really see much merit in releasing beyond those two. I don't see much success in porting it to PC or Xbox, though PC would likely be more receptive.

Persona 5 is published by Atlus alone except in PAL where it was Deep Silver. Unless you have a source on this Sony did not pay for development. I can see them making a deal to remain PlayStation console exclusive but that's not the same thing as paying for development.
