Sony was still making PS2s when Journey came out in 2012. The console outlasted not only the release of its successor, but almost long enough to pass the baton straight to the PS4.
Sony’s current machine might have restored the company’s place at the front of the market, but the PlayStation 2 remains its most beloved, and most important, contribution to games. Entire genres were birthed here, while others evolved beyond all recognition.
SEGA and Lizardcube reveal stunning Neo City gameplay footage for their upcoming action platformer, SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, launching August 29 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Switch.
Pretty excited for this the art style I wish was slightly more distinct that Streets of rage but I'd be lying if I said I didn't love some Shinobi.
Really feeling It's the year of retro revivals for me

It's a good year to be an old dude stuck in the past.
There's even a video of wallrunning enabled in Black Ops 6 by messing with the game's files.

Wallrunning is dirt in FPS games. I can only stand it in action games like Prince of Persia at best.
Sea of Stars has gotten a new DLC adventure with the Throes of the Watchmaker. Travel to the clockwork world as you learn some of the secrets of the Watchmaker.
A true gem of a console.
I wish Sony added more PS2 Classics to PSN
Those PS2 games are just games sony was able to scrape up for the ps4.
The ps2 classics have been disappointing.
