Never saw much of 06 so not sure what the main differences are, this looks good however.. Just wish SEGA would make an SA3, i really enjoyed SA2 because it had a bunch of different levels and more varied than the first game, just wish they made the game a bit more challenging, especially the later parts, or to be more specific maybe the last boss.

I just tried it myself, and I prefer the original for now. The characters in this demo felt very hard to control from a standing position. If you jump with Sonic from a standing position and push towards any direction, it felt like you had no control over him. Like every button pushed in the air was too sensitive. The characters also controlled like and tank from a standing position, just moving any character in a circle feels unnatural. So going from tank controls to oversensitive so quickly is hard to adjust to.

I seen a comment from the dev on a youtube video saying he will work on the controls though, so hopefully he gets it right.

Once you get up to full speed, it feels similar to the original. The demo doesn't run great though, it can be very choppy throughout. I don't think it's an issue with my pc, it's definitely a problem with the demo itself.

Sometimes, I just wish Sega would actually fund some of these Sonic fan games. Sonic Mania proved that the fans can make a proper Sonic game that is on par with the classics

I'm one of the few that really liked sonic 06. It really needs a remake to atleast fix the framerate issues, but I guess as silver says its no use. There is one thing they did get right though and thats the music.

I liked it too. There were a ton of bugs for sure, and it probably only needed another 6 months to a year to get the game in top shape, but I still enjoyed.

Definitely agreed. I loved Sonic Spinball back on Genesis. I want a new Mean Bean Machine too, while we're at it!

Still need to check out Frontiers at some point. Just waiting on a really good Steam sale for it.

I didn't realise it was that popular.
