This Week in Gaming History (Nov. 2 - 8)

Haul yourself out of your Halloween candy-induced sugar coma, it's time to fire up the time machine and see what was happening in gaming history the week of November 2 through November 8.

Several massive multiplayer games launched this week in history, including 1999's Asheron's Call, 2004's EverQuest II, and last year's long-awaited Tabula Rasa. Tabula Rasa made a significant number of headlines when its commercial release date moved from October 19 to November 2 - despite having already gone gold in September. Asheron's Call continues to operate, although its short-lived successor Asheron's Call II barely lasted just over three years in the competitive MMO market.
