There's no such thing as routine in the world of Days Gone. Bend Studio shares what dangers await in the harsh wilderness before Days Gone comes to PS4 on April 26.
I love open worlds and next gen already promises to be a big leap forward for them
It's crazy to think what the PS5 will be capable of doing with game worlds! Imagine HZD2 or GOW2 and hopefully Days Gone 2!
I think next gen will be like back when PS2/OG Xbox went to PS3./ 360. I think we will see differences like that between resolution, FRAME RATE and probably high to ultra setting with advanced AI. Next Gen gaming is going to be incredible. Just look at what they are able to do now!!
anyone else catch when he said freakers continue to mutate as the game goes on?......interesting!
Sure did. I see myself dying a lot...but I’m really excited to play in this interesting & dangerous world that Bend has created.
oh, i'm sure i'll be dying in the middle of a few freaker hordes. LOL
Looking forward to it. I love the setting and gameplay concepts.
This game has always had my interest. The first trailer just looked like a game I'd love to get lost in. Now after all the previews from the last month or so, I must say it's deeper and more fleshed out than I ever anticipated. From the meaty narrative, that is far more than I was expecting, to the more hardcore survival aspects( I really thought it'd be more casual) to the enemies being so varid both in concept and execution, this game has my full attention! I love the Pacific Northwest setting and just how rich the game world appears. I like that there's so much about the Freakers that we've learned and still so much we don't know about them. I think that will really blow people away who are just expecting a run of the mill zombie game. I think that's why the devs are constantly saying "they aren't zombies!" Not just because they just say they aren't but because they literally aren't. Firstly because they are actually alive and have more in common with a herd that forages, breeds, sleeps(in nests they build) and migrate. They're basically a new species of hominid. We already know of four variations but with the devs saying they continue to mutate throughout the game is interesting! That combined with the human and animal(both infected and not) factor, tells me this is going to be an awesome ride! Next Friday can't get here fast enough!
Ahhhh so excited! It looks so good you guys! Only 6 more days :-)
The waits now getting a bit unbearable, I'm trying to play other things and just cant settle down..Friday needs to get here already.
Days Gone looks incredible, the wait till the 26th is unbearable. Always been a fan of Sony Bend, they make quality games, I grew up playing all there games from Syphon Filter to Uncharted Golden Abyss. They have always been the underdog compared to all the other Sony studios, but the passion has always been there and I hope Days Gone puts them on the map and proves to the world they can stand side by side among their peers.
I saw an article a year ago that said this game is a 4.5 out of 5 for being just like Far Cry. Thats not a bad thing but Far Cry 5 is annoying as hell. I just hope you can actually explore the open world without getting shot at or chased every friggin second like Far Cry. Sh1t they give you a fishing pole in Far Cry and you can barely use the damn thing cuz there are enemies everywhere...
Days Gone is now available DRM-free from GOG
Such a fun ass game. I enjoyed it alot more then I thought I would.
We need a part 2 doesn't even have to be Deacon. But I had no problems with him either, he was a dude on a mission.
My second favorite PS4 game after RDR2 hands down
I think with Jim Ryan gone we may get a sequel down the road. It has become a cult classic
This was so fun I love the hoards. People need to stick with it because the start is very slow
Has a really good PC port too, I wasn't expecting much from this game but I had a blast. Wish it had a part 2 as the story was building well.
It does take some time to get some weapons ,skills and a few bike upgrades up to feel like you got a rhythm going but then it really starts to click and the game is a lot of fun
I was sad when it ended. I wanted more. I'd have to look but I think that was one of the few games I platinumed to. I only got like 4. I don't go out of my way for trophies though
@shinoff same I only have 4 plats and one is Days Gone, and I also don’t go out of my way for platinums. Was a very fun game and wish there would be a sequel, maybe one day they will come back to it with a different pitch that Sony will approve. They probably rejected it he sequel because it might not have been the direction they were going for with gaas games and the like.
@shinioff I had the same feeling when I got the platinum. I need more. Hopefully they make a sequel and leave multiplayer out of it unlike the last pitch for Days Gone2.
The critical reception had Sony relegate Bend to a support studio. Thank God the fans spoke up and Sony reversed that decision.
Zombies, zombies, escaaaaaaaape!
True, they are alive
One of my favorite Sony titles too bad there is no sequel.
