God of War Creator David Jaffe Working on Story-Based Single-Player Project

David Jaffe, best known for creating the Twisted Metal and God of War series, is working on a new single-player adventure.

Although no story or gameplay details are available, this project is expected to offer around three-to-four hours of gameplay, while being a story-based single-player-only affair.

This man made God of War. David Jaffe doesnt get enough credit for the titan he is.

He's up there with Kamiya and Tobonaki (sp?)

The original GoW is garbage.

@Unself Who is tobonaki?

@KaaF You watch your mouth kid GOW1 & GOW2 are awesome games that have aged surprisingly well unlike most games of that era.

Wow so finally he opened his eyes and stopped being so stubborn regarding single player games(same issue with Cliff Bleszinski too), really interested to see what it does.

His games have always been fun (never played DTL). Multiplayer games he created have been a blast as well, but there is something awesome about his dark story telling and character creation.

Cliff has said in the past that towards the end of his career with Epic that they just weren't interested in his Single player game ideas.

4 hrs is ideal for him. I'm sure it will reflect in price. But I like a good 12+ hr game on a first play through

Donnie812254d ago

Would love to see him put out another quality game.

josh-eh2254d ago

Don't know why you got downvoted lol do people not want him to put out a quality game? OR are they trying to say that God of War was never a quality game?

..funny

How about an official level editor for Boltgun?

I’ll get Space Marine 2 when it’s cheaper. I don’t pay more than half price for short games.
