It felt strange when The Handsome collection came out, and the first game was not on there. Seems that a Borderlands: Remastered Edition for 'multi platform' is on the way if we go by this Australian rating. Presumably for PS4, X1, and maybe PC.
God, this is getting out of hand.
I would rather have a Borderlands 3 than the first Borderlands on the new gen systems.

Only positive side is the sales from these remasters probably help fund the next title in the series. And those that never played it get to.
They've already said it will be a while before they work on another Borderlands since they have other projects in the works. I'd love to see 3 as well, but I didn't buy the Pre-Sequel for the very reason that it might be going next-gen at some point and didn't want to bother with the last-gen version. (did the same for GTA V, Walking Dead S2, Wolf Among Us, and holding out for AC: Rogue)

This may be the one and only time I'd ever agree with you. I'd rather have BL3, than a remaster, but Gearbox is working on Battle Born (which honestly doesn't look anywhere near as fun as Borderlands) so Borderlands 3 isn't happening for a while.
That being said why just release Borderlands 2, and not both in a collection, 1080p @ 60fps both consoles, with a 30fps Wii U version too.
My guess is they'll try to sell as many copies on last gen then port them over to current gen.
I've got it on pc, its ok. What would make it a lot more fun is co-op. Sadly i haven't got any friends who are interested in the series to play with.
I remember Cgoodno calling this like the moment they announced that the prequel sequel will not be on next-gen consoles.

I'm done with 30fps remasters unless they run at 1080p 60fps they are not worth it.
Given that Borderlands uses cell shading it should easily hit 1080p and 60 fps on both next gen consoles.
Yeah, there's not really a whole lot they could add that would make it not run at 60 fps.
They need to release proper HD packs for PC. No excuse not to.
