Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Lady Butterfly Boss Guide - Hirata Estate

From PSU: "Lady Butterfly is another boss early on in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. She is at the end of the Hirata Estate area.

She can be a formidable foe with her throwing knives and quick speed; however, this guide will help you to take her down. This fight is an endurance fight and can last quite a while due to both of her phases and how much posture she has.

Her name should be bitch butterfly. Just defeated her after 5 hours. I was a little underpowered.

LoveSpuds2226d ago

I had levelled up my attack and vitality stats one time each and managed to beat her on maybe my 7th or 8th attempt, got so close a few times, but really satisfying when she fell. Outstanding game, cannot get enough of it!

This game is so insanely hard.....

Thundercat772226d ago (Edited 2226d ago )

Hard and the problem is that they punish you so hard for dying. When you die a disease spread which blocks NPCs side quests and you have to start looking for a cure man that was totally unnecessary.

LoveSpuds2226d ago (Edited 2226d ago )

It is hard, but just like their other games, you can feel yourself improving; I feel like an absolute badass in this game when you have a good run of parries and strikes. As for the DragonRot, so far I have had no problem at all curing it as it crops up.

Nitrowolf22226d ago

@Love

I think the big difference here is the game punishes you for not using blocks/deflects compared to DS you can keep a good distance cause of the way they cater to other classes

It’s freakn great though, probably my favorite game this gen now, and that belonged to nioh previously

Greg28012226d ago

Its not when you just die. Its when you use ressurection. I used it a lot in the starting hours of Sekiro. But now i really dont use it anymore, only when im at a boss and i can kill it with a few more hits or so.

OMNlPOTENT2226d ago

@greg2801 You're actually not completely right. Resurrecting and dying both count toward it. It's just resurrecting still counts as "1 death" in the game's count, so you have a higher chance of receiving it after you "die" twice than just once.

this game is straight up bullshit

LoveSpuds2226d ago

Its everything I had hoped for and more, I absolutely love it. Its punishing at first but now I am improving and have unlocked a bunch of gourd improvements to heal, I am making some real headway.

I never thought they would beat the combat in Bloodborne, but I think they might have here, its genius!

mezati992226d ago

it's easily the worst piece of shit i have ever played

PhantomTommy2226d ago

I think straight up bullshit is a little harsh, but I'm interested to see if opinions change on this one down the road like they did with Dark Souls 2. There is some good stuff in Sekiro but the combat and stealth mechanics are underdeveloped and the difficulty is a little insane at times, at least in the first 8 or so hours. Once you get to grips with it, it's more enjoyable but I wonder how many people will just switch off at Lady Butterfly or the bull. I came pretty close.

Brave_Losers_Unite2226d ago

That is why I use the exp multiplier cheats because I do not want to stress myself over playing video games.

Hungryalpaca2226d ago

The bull? You just run in circles.

PhantomS422226d ago

Great spoilers in the title there bro.

Moe-Gunz2226d ago

Spam Nightstar slash for the first phase. Her second phase causiously spam Nightstar Slash.

Run to the opposite side of the map from her until she makes the illusions turn into butterflies (use pillar to avoid them when they fly at you). Then block her attacks, and spam Nightstar slash. Repeat.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Review

NoobFeed editor Ahnaf Tajwar writes - FromSoftware cooked up one of the best combat systems with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and never did anything like it again. That may be a good thing, as it makes this game one of a kind. If you are a fan of Souls games or a borderline masochist, you will, without a doubt, love Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice because it is a masterpiece. It is a must-play for all hardcore gamers.

Hells yeah. Would love to see another really tight action focused title next. Be cool if he did something completely different, like a cyborg-ninja game.
