"Cult classic Vampire: the Masquerade– Bloodlines is getting a sequel. The 2004 roleplaying game left a lasting impression on roleplaying fans despite some clumsy gameplay. I spent time with the folks at Paradox Interactive and developer Hardsuit Labs to ask questions and see the game in action. It captures much of the original’s mysterious mood, with some modern flourishes."
Screen Rant writes, "Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is a long-awaited return to a cult classic, but one change isn't looking like a very promising shift."
If any modders are interested in working on this game, I think a clear dialogue mod will be one of the first available.
I'm disappointed. They seemed to have turned Johnny Silver-hand into a vampire. They say they are using VTM 5e rules, but there seems to be no actual roleplaying. The gameplay reveal was the same warehouse over and over again. The devs didn't try to get to know the goth community it seems nor do they have any experience beyond playing Bloodlines and even then they were not competent enough to understand what made that game great, let alone understand the TTRPG.
Paradox Interactive has released the first gameplay trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 which will be using Unreal Engine 5.
2024 is looking like a very promising year for gamers, and here are some of the best upcoming releases to get excited about!
This is amazing news, really hope they’ll do a good job with this one.
When looking at their portfolio, it’s rather short (or old going by their old name), but not bad.
Hopefully we’ll see this playable at E3
This series is too old and too obscure it may not catch the curiousity of most gamers today, but after more quality footage is out it will start have the attention it deserve.
