Today Sega opened the official page for the auditions for the female characters of the brand new mainline Yakuza game.

The reason that this is news is because they arte holding open auditions for the role. I hate SJW bullsh*t as much as the next guy, but just reading the word "female" shouldn't trigger people. An SJW aka a social justice warrior is a term akin keyboard warrior. It's ironic due to the fact that they don't ACTUALLY care for social justice, they just act outraged at anything that they deem "offensive". Nowadays the games media is plagued by articles that are not about gaming but all these "social issues" like the sexuality of the characters or people needing more "representation" in their games which most gamers really don't care about. Then on the other hand there's the anti-sjw people who see terms that are associated with SJW's and blow a fuse immediately. Two sides of the same coin.

I love the concept, though historically female Yakuza members are never really nothing more than hostesses and sex workers. they are just Yakuza property that makes money using their womanly charm/bodies. they never go do the thug/gangster work. Still if they threw all that out the window and still managed to make a badass female character it's be game as F_CK!
