I guess it's fitting the new head of the Nintendo America is named "Bowser"

remixx11628d ago

I thought the same thing lol

SuperSonic9127d ago (Edited 27d ago )

Is this a sick joke!?
All your princesses are in trouble.

starchild27d ago

Haha does that mean the next Mario game will sport Bowser as the hero and Mario and gang as the villains? I mean, now that Bowser is the new Nintendo of America president.

OtterX27d ago

"Previously, Bowser was an executive with industry powerhouse Electronic Arts, most recently as the company’s Vice President of Global Business Planning."

-Oh God, Bowser is real and he was born out of EA. Bye Reggie, we'll miss you. :\

rainslacker27d ago

I'm calling nepotism on this one. Guess his uncle works as a janitor for Nintendo maybe?

No Way27d ago

He's actually not even qualified.. he's just a janitor. But the name draws interest and intrigue.

Well played, Nintendo.

OneLove27d ago

But....Bowser is just a evil kappa.

uth1127d ago

be even more fitting if his name was Mario Bowser

UnSelf27d ago

this nigga's name is Bowser.

ButtAnihilator27d ago

I know, right. They're putting bowser at the leadership of nintendo, what could possibly go wrong? All future mario games now will have bowser as the protagonist and mario as the villain.

EddieNX 28d ago

My body wasn't ready for this.

He's done a great job though and times change and Doug's surname certainly fits the bill.

Oh hell yeah, im definitely happy about this. time to get some new blood to oversee the american audience.

It doesn’t matter who is in charge of NOA when NOJ pulls all the strings.

Sono42128d ago

Exactly,this means little to nothing.

MrSwankSinatra27d ago

Actually it does matter, regardless if NOJ pulls strings or not. New blood is needed to reinvigorate a company and that is just a fact.

annoyedgamer28d ago

American Audience is the problem.

S2Killinit28d ago (Edited 28d ago )

NO we are not! We are like everybody else. The problem is those who think all Americans think the same. Im American (naturalized) and like many Americans I like all sorts of games including Japanese games. Stop pushing a political agenda on gamers.

2pacalypsenow27d ago

And Nintendo needs to adapt to the American Audience.

Not the other way around.

traumadisaster27d ago

There’s a problem with our money? Oh ok, we can send it elsewhere then.

Stereotype much...?

King_Noctis27d ago

Reggie had done an amazing job, so I don’t know why you are happy for him to be replaced. The guy is funny and he truly care about games.

jznrpg27d ago

I wouldn’t say amazing job, not much to show for WiiU , ton of shovelware of for Wii in US . Switch is doing better but it needs more adult games , exclusive Japanese rpgs

conanlifts27d ago

The american audience now has a former VP from EA in charge of Nintendo. Wait for all of the microtransactions and unfinished, unpolished games.

Bane3527d ago

You really dont what youre talking about because as NOA you may have some say in certain things but at the end of the day we all know who gets the final say

Segata28d ago

My body was not ready for this news. End of an era.

The 10th Rider28d ago

Yeah, both Iwata and Reggie gone :/

I hope Reggie sticks around to appear time-to-time, assuming he's retiring and not going to work somewhere else.

It's too bad Miyamoto is getting up there in age, it might not be too long before he's out as well.

Ristul27d ago

It's sad, I will miss the guy. I will always remember his excitement when presenting new hardware, the Nintendo DS comes to mind. Oh well, he deserves the rest, he leaves the company on a high note with the Switch doing so good.

cbuc112528d ago

So Bowser will be running Nintendo? Uh oh....

nowitzki200427d ago

Mario will not be rescuing Peach in the next game and Bowser dating simulator is coming.
