Square Enix Teases Various Announcements Leading Up to E3; Will Reorganize Development Units

Today Square Enix disclosed a few interesting details about the publisher's business. On the other hand, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Just Cause 4 suffered a weak start.

They were definitely going to show FF7R this year at E3, but Sony pulled out. Whelp, it's either gonna be shown at Microsoft or their own E3. Sucks really. FF7 was the shit on PS1, didn't Sony spend $100 million for free for Squaresoft just to advertise the game and sell the PS1. Sigh, Sony should be the ones to show it.

It's a Square title they could show it at their conference. Even if they don't show we'll probably have more info towards TGS or Jump Fiesta.

I hope that by new announcements he means actual SE games. VII remake, X-3, XVI, the XI remake, Fran & Balthier spin-off, Type-Next, Dissidia NT for PC, KHIII for PC, etc. Don't care about The Avengers, TR, Hitman, or JC. Wouldn't mind a new Deus Ex though I guess.

Similar to IO Interactive with Hitman, SE will sell off Crystal Dynamics and the Tomb Raider ip. Most likely to WB.

Its getting pretty amusing watching SE attempt, over and over again, to organize itself in order to efficiently execute business and development strategies. At some point they have to stop expecting the money to just roll in (I'm looking at you, share holders and higher ups that were promoted from advertisement positions) and actually hire some people that are product focused who are also proficient at business/project management.

I find it funny that people give up on so many publishers, yet they give Square the benefit of the doubt? PS2 generation was the last time I really enjoyed on of their games.
