The EA Star Wars is something that I don't really care for. Why can't they just start putting some effort into it?
Before any EA execs decide on what gamers want from them for a new entry for Star Wars, they already began buying a new boat or a 2nd summer house. All that matters to them is the money and see how many chumps they can squeeze dry before the end of the year arrives.
This is why EA cant make a good game. Baking a Chocolate Cake. The regular way: 3/4 cups butter or margarine, softened 3 eggs 2 cups sugar 2 cups flour 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 2 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/2 cup milk Total cost: 16$ Serves: 8 people Time taken: 1hr EA: 1 bag of chocolate cake mix Total cost: 5$ Serves: 12 people Time taken: 30 min In layman's terms. EA prefers quantity over quality.
But there is no quantity either. They’ve had 2 games since the license. Before it was a single company making th games, there was a new game every year in a different genre.
The two EA Battlefront games suffer in quality due to EA’s aggressive focus on monetization and Dice’s design philosophies. Since the release of Battlefield 4, Dice’s games have obvious signs of cost cutting. The campaigns are rushed and use recycled conquest maps for missions. The launch content of BF1, BFV and Battleftont 1&2 is noticeably less than BF 4’s. I even feel BFV was set in WWII so it could recycle more assets from BF1.
They see no value in either SP or involving story/plot.
Because the morons who inhabit the boardroom cannot get past monetization. They don't care at all for story, rich worlds, and character development. They make sports games. NO STORY. DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC. I say EA abandon and sell off all non sports titles and studios. I would be very interested to see what Ubisoft could do with the license.
I think ubisoft would be a good publisher for the star wars license, but I'd rather Sony have it. I doubt that would happen though.
More so for political business reasons, given what's going on with movies.
I'd say they've put effort into it when you can pay $50 extra for a pink vader suit... right??
A paint by numbers isnt going to produce what a inspired artist would dude.
Corporate greed, really. I would say Disney's inability to study who uses their IP, but that probably comes from greed too. We live in the "dark times" Obi-Wan spoke of. It's as if 600 thousand plus redditors cried out in pain and received silence. I would tell you guys about the tragedy of Star Wars Battlefront 2, but I don't have enough money to unlock it.
Galaxy of heroes on mobile is not bad - but very very grindy to encourage buying of lootboxes and other micro transactions. With some tweaking, could actually be a very good game
Because gamers allow them to carry on making bang average, microtransactiom filled, grind fests. By buying the games.
AnThEm iS a GrEaT gAmE GuY$!
Because EA has no passion for Star Wars at all. They only see the money. A soulless company like EA will produce only soulless Star Wars games. The licence must go to some developer with real passion.
It is hard to create a good product when the primary focus is earning money. Being product driven promotes good product development #NewsFlash
Battlefront 2 is good. Ive been playing it for a year and a half now.
Because EA think money first and quality last.
Money first Game second
Because they didn't hire me.
Because they think about how to milk the most money out of consumers and then design a game around that instead of y'know, making a game like that Uncharted Star Wars game.
Cause they have investors to keep happy....
Cmon you know the answer to this It’s EA
EA can't make a good Star Wars game because they are EA!!!
