Bayonetta 3 Coming “Sooner Than Anticipated”, Says Nintendo Exec

Gaming Bolt writes: "As it turns out, we may not have to wait that long. Speaking on the official Nintendo Power podcast, Nintendo of America’s senior product marketing manager Bill Trinen got to talking about Platinum Games and their partnership with Nintendo, before bringing up the upcoming Bayonetta 3, and saying that it’s coming “sooner than anticipated”- maybe even as early as later this year."

I still expect it to be a late this year title especially with all the games coming out on the Switch over the summer. One of which being a new Platinum IP. October at the earliest imo.

Doesn’t take long to rehash a bayo game. Bayonetta 1 > 2

What are they rehashing exactly? Please answer this question and don’t just go quiet.

.... I'm saying... If it ain't broke

Since it’s on the Switch they really not gonna make it better just like how the WiiU B2 was just a streamlined version of B1.

Have you played Bayonetta 2? Do you even know what the term “streamline” actually mean? Also, have you seen the gameplay of Bayonetta 3 yet?

B2 = one of the great action games ever made for any platform. Great meta score great user score, amazing game. It's really crazy good. If one has never played it, it's a top reason to own a Switch.

Yep played B2. They took away all quirky things and things make a hack and slash game great. B2 just streamlined to a formula where you just fight a few enemies in a room and then go to the next room and fight a boss that is forgettable. Then fight a boss in the air rolling around in the air. Atleast B1 had some sort of pacing.

And people disagreed with me that it would possibly release this year.

I really think I'm right. Like I said, I don't think Nintendo is one to announce games too far into the future. Metroid Prime 4 was kind of an anomaly since development for that more or less restarted from scratch. If all goes well with Bayonetta 3 (and I'm thinking it likely will), I would say late this year is likely or early next year.
