Squadron 42 with Ray Tracing will look absolutely stunning!

TheOptimist1896d ago

The game already looks stunning tbh. Running on a modded Cryengine is no joke, the guys at Crytek were technical wizards in the literal sense. Crysis 3 is still the best looking game till date, even if it isn't as good as Crysis 1 mechanically.

Hell, Crysis 1 was what? 2007? On max settings it wouldn't look too out of place if it was released now, over 10 years later.

Lon3wolf1896d ago

but even now no one has a PC that can run Crysis.

porkChop1896d ago

When's the last time you played Crysis? Vanilla Crysis looks like ass by today's standards. You'd need mods for it to not look out of place.

annoyedgamer1896d ago (Edited 1896d ago )

You're about to get disagrees from the console fanboys here. I'll also add Far Cry 2 has more detailed and realistic mechanics than Far Cry 5. Consoles have dumbed down everything. All show in the front, smoke and mirrors in the back.

@annoyedgamer

I totally remember that crowbcat video. Just goes on to show the current gen doesn't hold a candle when it comes to innovation. Rather we are regressing as far the AAA industry is concerned.

The 10th Rider1895d ago

@porkChop,

I mean, it wouldn't be considered some of the best graphics in the industry if it released today. However if a AA studio put out a game looking like Crysis today it would hold up well enough. It's the lighting, draw distance, and character models that still hold up today. Plus the AI and the physics are still excellent . . . and those tax the CPU.
