Today, during Activision Blizzard's financial conference call for investors and analysts, the company's executives provided the first hint about the upcoming Call of Duty game that will come in the fall of 2019.
Their conference call said that they will not have enough new titles nor in game transactions to meet their goals in 2019. Hence why so many jobs were cut.
It's an excuse. All of these employees are getting laid off while Activision CEOs are getting massive bonuses.
Cut costs (people) = easier to inflate bonuses. This is the business world where regular hard working folk are expendable meat bags.
I'll buy this year if it definitely has a SP campaign.
Entirely new campaign as in 1 hour long.
CD SP campaigns are 5 to 7 hrs long.
"Huge and expansive multiplayer world" This news makes it sound like they dropped traditional MP in lieu of adding a "huge and expansive" Battle Royale map. I can see them explaining it to us like this "Well, we gave you a single player campaign, like you asked, this time. We didn't have enough resources and time to do all three MP, SP and Battle Royale".
That's be suicide
It would be. But I wouldn't put it past Activision.
It’s Activision, it makes me think maybe they mean a destiny style online world, which could potentially be interesting. I’ve not owned a CoD for 15 years or so my opinion is pretty meaningless, haha
"Entirely New Campaign" as in a single player campaign? That would be great.
Sounding like it.
“Entirely new campaign” doesn’t signal MW4 to me.
Don't they say this every year and it's still the same shite different year...
