I really don't care about microtransactions unless they unbalance competitive play. The "pay to win" type.

Cosmetic microtransactions aren't of any concern to me. Those that want to buy them can. I usually just ignore them and I've never felt that their mere existence hurt my experience playing games. If it helps devs generate some extra revenue that they can invest in making great games in the future then all the better.

In the case of free to play games of course they'll have microtransactions. That's how they make any money at all. Why should the devs create a well made game that is giving people millions of hours of enjoyment and then get nothing in return?
